Do you still have "little house on the prairie" mentality?

I used to watch this programme as a happy go lucky kid.

Along with other fairy tales that gave me this long view, as a kid, what life would be like in years to come.

Only through hardship and reality, has it come to pass that this made up view suckers us into all sorts of trouble- buying a big house with our chosen lady, she will bake the bread, 2.4 kids and everything will be alright.....

Well it isnt like this as we know, but somehow, some of this stuff stuck into my subconscious, and although i want it to go, it wont......can anybody else relate to this???

Not really. though I think that was that society's ideal family view or what a person should hope to aim for in life.

Now anything goes, we're not so rigid as before.

If my little house on the prairie you mean white pikit fence , then yeah , I mean I never see my life ever being that perfect , but you can live a life that will still appear that way to every one on the outside.

A life like that will never be as easy as tv depicts it , you may be able to have it , but living with it as a goal is not the way to go , set easy reachable goals as to not disappoint yourself. Then maybe one day , if the planets align you might get there , but dont set that as your endgame , as for how to flush it outta your head , I have no clue.

part of me thinks it will always be there ... but you have to know that its not something to expect or look forward to , thing about being with a girl that makes you happy first , then if life ends up like that , its icing on the cake
