Do you stay away from mall vendors?

I was in the mall the other day and I made eye contact with this female vendor and she sent back IOI's. So I opened on her, talked for a bit, even made some mild kino. The stupid part was that I asked for her number and she replied "are you gonna buy something?" (I really didn't want to buy her junk) I said perhaps after my payday. Then she told me she doesn't give out her number...

And just like that she stopped all IOI's and tried to direct her attention to other possible customers.

What a *****
Is this a life lesson telling me to never trust female entrepreneurs?

Most likely she wasn't interested. Sometimes, people aren't in the mood to get hit on, they could be be busy or otherwise occupied.

Don't take it too badly, she was in the middle of her job, so had her mind of other things. Daygame on a fellow shopper in a store, or in the food court.

The really awesome part is when they give you their number, and then later you find out it's the main number to the mall. D'oh!

Any woman who can make money off of you will always be extra nice. Beyond commissioned salespeople, that group most commonly includes bar tenders and waitresses. There are also jobs like receptionist, where the girl thinks it is part of her job to be nice to everyone. Every Gold's Gym has a hot blonde working the front desk, because guys will join the gym just to hit on her.

When police use a beautiful woman as an undercover to get a guy to slip up, it's called a "honey trap." btw, if you're ever at a concert and a hot, single, seemingly inebriated young woman comes up to you and asks you where to buy drugs, insinuating that she will have sex with you afterward, she's a cop!!! It's not entrapment, and you get a 5 yr mandatory minimum, even if there never were any actual drugs. Cops think of that scenario as simply good police work.

So, beware the "commercial honey trap." It is one of the most commonly employed sales devices to get men to spend their money.

Only the clueless hit up females in their place of work. It is a terrible idea. First of all, in restaurants and vendor atmospheres, it is their JOB to be flirty and friendly...especially with men. That means more business and bigger tips.

Would you walk into TD Waterhouse Financial Services office and hit on a girl in a cubicle? No? Then why should a waitress/vendor be any different?

Guys...search online for things like "waitress hit on" etc and you will find forums or other resources where girls talk about all the patrons that hit on them. They are not stupid. They know the games guys play. They see a "regular" who comes in often and tries to chat them up a lot, slowly building rapport. They know what he's doing. They can smell you 100 miles away.

Bottom line, waitresses/vendors actually get hit on often because there are many clueless men out there who are out of ideas of where to meet women, so they pick out what they think are easy targets. The truth is that these types of women see you coming from a distance and they know what the score is. Being that they are at work, their shields will be up in full force.
