I'm talking about rough arguments,
Normally I wouldn't, but after 2 years with an LTR I'm just sick of her pretending to be cute and submissive all the time, plus I don't think I should get excited from her shouting.
On the other side, it's disrespectful. There's a fine line between demanding respect like a butt hurt ego queen, and legit disrespect though. I'm not sure where this one stands.

Does she have emotional issues? Do her parents fight? This might be the way she resolves things...

I can write a novel to answer you lol , but I don't really mind the reason she shouts (it's not even a rare thing for a girl to do), I'm just trying to find the red line.

My sisters do this to me sometimes when we argue. I just tell them that I couldn't understand what they were saying cuz they were yelling so loud. Then when they start talking again, I'm like "nope, still too loud" and she'll be more quiet. I keep doing this till she is quiet enough to not bother me. Then sometimes I'll troll her and say that I wasn't listening because I couldn't hear her  .

I'm sure it's the same with other girls too though.

Try to figure out if your gf is a drama queen. If she is, shouting back at her will only validate her. Shout back, and your fights will escalate and continue and escalate again, the sky's the limit. Stay polite and quiet, and you'll drive her nuts because she cannot fight unless you join.
If she's not a drama queen, ask her what the fück is going on. She may be acting out some pressure in the RL that you don't even know about. Women have their secrets, too.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

I would normally just scream back. No woman can yell louder than me.

Unfortunately, California and I can only guess other liberal places, have now started to make domestic violence arrests for the mere act of yelling. It seems Orwellian. I don't think spoken words have ever fallen under the definition of violence. They are quite the opposite to me, the working out of your problems without coming to blows.

I also wonder about the application of that rule as it applies to gender, whether they arrest equal numbers of men and women. Somehow, I doubt it. I think the real rule is that yelling is violence if you are a man.

Haha yell back ? I'd avoid a yelling competition with a girl at all costs, it can't go anywhere good. I don't even remember ever yelling at her, I prefer being super cold and leave if she does something really unacceptable.
Anyway she was yelling about something hurtful I said, but it was something I really meant, I told it because I wanted her to change.

I drink Brawndo. So, I know what you're sayin'.

I wear out a lot of shoes, too, in fact.

I had a chick screaming at me while I was getting my coveralls and steel-toes on, follow me out of the house screaming, and screamed at me all the way down to the shop. She stood there, screamin' her face off, as I filled up the fuel, topped off the chain oil, and proceeded to scream as I flipped the switches and start it up. Still screaming, as the chainsaw sat idling on the ground, she watched as I put in my earplugs. Now extremely hostile, she mustered even more volume for her screams. So, I reached down and picked up the chainsaw...

Her: :cuss: *mouth moving*
V:  *holding eye-contact, revs chainsaw*
Her:  *mouth stops moving*
V:  *stops reving chainsaw*
Her: :cuss: *mouth starts moving*
V:  *holding eye-contact, revs chainsaw*
Her:  *mouth stops moving. stomps off out of the shop in a huff*
V: *turns off chainsaw, takes out earplugs*

Sure, I let women shout at me. I don't shout back, though.

If she shouts because she is angry at life or something fine. But if she shouts at your behaviour or something you've done, its a big NO NO.
