Do you have to quit your 9 to 5 in order to get a chance at bartending?

I really want to give it a go and am more than willing to do it if makes working 80+ hours a week no sleep, ideally at a nightclub or party bar kind of place. The thing is I really really love my 9 to 5 as well and in about 5 years, it is going to lend me over 6 figures in salary but the thing is, I have always wanted to bartend.

In order to do it, will I have to quit my career or is there a way I can do that and bartend?

Are bars willing to accomodate that kind of a schedule?

You don't want to be that 30-40 year old bartender that gave up on his career. What do you want? The social interaction? The additional money? The nightlife?

I am sure you can find what you want in a different activity

Pretty much, but you'll get a lot more women in your life.
