"Do you have a girlfriend?"

The other day I was at a friend's place and I happened to meet this girl that I've never seen before.

She said something that no other girl has ever said to be before, at least not within the first week of my meeting them.

She said:

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

Please, tell me that this doesn't mean anything. If it did then I most definately blew it. It might've been a sh|t-test, though if it was it was certainly unique.

It just weirded me out, since no one else ever asked me that the first time I met them.

I have used something to the following effect before, whether it be true or not, with positive results:

"Nobody exclusive, but I am dating a few women casually right now"

Doesn't necessarily set the frame that you are a player, but it does establish that you are desirable to women and have social proof.

If she asks this casually... if you dont even know her...it is partially some sort of test. Moreover "never give a woman direct answer unless it is no" - you want to be a challenge for her!
If you say "No" or "Yes" - you lose automatically.

If you imply that you have somebody but dont mind to fvck her with "there is somebody who...." she would take it excatly as what you want to say "Yes, I have a gf but want to fvck you".
Any decent woman would recoil.

Give her a short, simple C&F answer that leaves her guessing and maintain your status as a "challenge":

Yep, they do. Always want what they can't have, you can be single with no attention for ages then all of a sudden once you find someone theres a bunch of them proclaiming they've liked you for a while.

it also depends on the type of girl asking you

if she is nice, calm and perhaps shy, then it's probably safer to say "no i dont have one at the moment" because you dont want to play games if she doesnt play games.
just give her the straight answer because if she's even ASKING you this question she's showing interest.

but if she is some stuck up, outgoing, pampered *****, then you might want to make yourself look like a "bad boy" and act more like a player

I do a variation where I first look around as if I'm looking for someone, look her in the eyes and confidently say "No," and then look around again... I'm not asked often but when I do, that routine always get a laugh.
