Alright, guys. Summer time is almost here. Some of us are probably slacking off a few days working out, others are going back to their old cheeseburger diet. It has now been a month since that super-charged motivated guy has started pumping iron. He decides to give it a rest for a couple days, cause he feel's tired....

What happens? Time after time, our bodies remain the same. We blame our workouts, we blame what we were eating, we blame our busy schedules.

Guess what, we have nothing to blame but ourselves.
What separates those muscular jocks between us average guys? DISCIPLINE. DISCIPLINE to get up every morning to hit the weights. DISCIPLINE To continue that for the next 365 days DISCIPLINE to scarf down that nasty lamb and 10 bean soup mom fixed. DISCPLINE to continue eating that 5 more times.

Guys. Let us get realistic. The first weeks are awesome, we are feeling pumped and excited about ourselves. However, our gains still remain minimal, we lose motivation and desire. Back to step one. This happens all the time to us.

This is defeat....but we do not have to be defeated.

Our true test of discipline, motivation, and consistency comes at the moments in our lives when we are tired, lazy, or have busy schedules. It is 12:30 midnight right now. I just got back from work. I am going to turn the music on after this and start doing slow pushups, and then I am going to work my abs after this. Afterwards, I will crack 3 eggs and toast some bread before I sleep. I pledge to myself, that rain or shine, I will never give up. In any situation, I will strive. The time for relying on mama and daddy is over for us.

WE ARE MEN. Our purpose it to protect the family, and protect the woman. When we start reaching our true potential as men, our family will appreciate us, as our women will admire and desire us.

Summer time is here. 12 weeks guys. Just 12 weeks to make the gains we want to make. Our changes wont be drastic, we wont go from skinny guy to meathead in 12 weeks. But in 12 weeks we will have accomplished something bigger than our muscles. That is CONSISTENCY, MOTIVATION, AND DISCPLINE. That is our FOUNDATION. From there on, working out will be so ingrained in ourselves, it will become a daily routine for us, like eating, sleeping, and shytting. Then our massive gains will come.

Best wishes to whoever makes this pledge with me. I take my own advice, I will return every so often to read this post. Because, it inspires me as much as it may inspire you.

Following a diet is the absolute hardest thing in the world for me.. not just eating healthy, but preparing meals and eating them every 2.5-3 hr.

I'd be 20 lbs heavier like 3 months ago if i just had someone to cook the food... :)

Good post though

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.
