I went to my local nutrition shop today to pick up some glutamine and a multivitamin. I was talking to the guy there and he said there was a difference in absorbtion in different qualities of whey. Right now I'm using the cheap Costco stuff and I'm wondering if there is a noticable difference in the higher grade whey or if it is all basically the same stuff.

Whey all comes from the same factory and then are transported out to the big compaines who throw in some flavour and some minerals. I'ts pretty much the same whatever you buy.

There are different kinds of whey though, concentrate, isolate and hydrosylate. The difference is the absorption rate with hydrosylate being the quickest (and most expensive). Personally I've gone with all three and haven't noticed any noticable difference.

Whey is whey, like Lifeforce said. Buy whichever brand/flavour suits your budget/tastes.

At Large Nutrition do a whey, caisein and egg blend, which I really like compared to a straoight whey. It tastes awesome though.

if you are going for straight whey though, generally if you grab one from a shop, just get one that tastes nice and is reasonably priced.
