Have any of you older cats try DJing in the office?

I've always believed in "not sh1ting where I eat."

Anyone have any experiences that could tell it's not as bad as I think?

I work with a company who's ratio is 80/20, and yet all are happily married or with b/fs (I know because they talk about relationships a lot with their other fem co-workers). I try to stay away from these women. Although if I make a good impression they might drop a good hint of me to their single girl friends, so stay optimistic by being the fun out-going office guy.

I've heard and seen points for and against. Myself, I have a "Never, but..." sort of stance on it. Like most things in life, jobs come and go, women come and go, money comes and goes, you live in different places, etc. One's life is ever-changing.

So, it's mostly situational. In one hand, you have your money maker, your career, your financial well being, and your future. On the other hand, you have women, and your future.

Now, I'm a shameless flirt at work. I walk the sexual harassment tightrope daily. But I always consider the consequences before making anything happen beyond flirting.

The 2 things I consider are:

1. If it doesn't work out with this chick, how could it affect my job.

a. Will I lose my job?
b. Do I care if I lose my job?
c. What is the turnover rate for her position/my position?
d. How easy is it to get another (similar) job?

2. How will this chick potentially affect my future?

a. Is she of such quality that I will regret not having taken the chance?
b. If things work out well, what will it be like working with your girlfriend? Will it affect the relationship?

More often than not, most women just flat out aren't worth the hassle or worry.
However, there have been many situations where I would have been retarded not to take advantages of an opportunity. When you have a part time evening job and there is a smoking hot Betty throwing FI's... duh... bone her! But when it's your career day time job, that's where the what if's need to be considered. Even then, I've met a couple women at work that made me be ready to take all the unemployment chances because I saw such high future potential.

Now, it should be said, none of those women are around now, and neither are those jobs. Sooooo.... was it worth it? Hell yeah. The women and me screwing them had nothing to do with losing or finding new jobs.

So the bottom line is, for me, "Never, but... ...If I can get away with it, sh!t yeah, I'm gonna bend that secretary over the boss' desk, wipe up the mess with her blouse, and update my resume just in case.":woo:

I was once accused of Sexual Harrassment just for asking a fairly simple inoffensive question. So no. Not at work. Not my neighbors. Not my favorite restaurant.

Here's a true story that happened at my workplace...

One of the married drafting guys decided to have an affair with the accountant. So, they ended up fvcking, and she got pregnant. Then she found out that the drafting guy was also fvcking the secretary (who had a bf).

So, tension was created between the accountant and the secretary. The secretary ended up quitting because of the tension, and the drafting guy's wife was phoning and yelling at the pregnant accountant.

The next to go was the drafting guy. The rumors were circulating and he wanted to patch things up with his wife (and change jobs).

The accountant gave birth to her bastard child. Two years later, she got pregnant again. Nobody's sure who's baby it is this round (many are guessing the owner's kid) but she ended up quitting after her maternity leave was up.

In summary, don't stick your d1nk in the company ink.

I think the important thing is to make sure she's worth it. Take my word for it, you don't want to get the rep for being "a ladies man." I have gained that rep and it was thrown in my face by the fat old people who run things. Bear in mind, people who haven't been desired sexually in the last 20 years (especially women) will label any guy who gets laid even once as some kind of sex-maniac/player. I got a rep as a player because I do get laid frequently. I told my old boss (who I thought I could trust) a few stories and he told some people and they told some people and well it ended up with me being the pimp of the year.

If you have a woman of high quality, and you see lots of potential, I wouldn't let the opportunity pass me by. LIfe is too short to waste time. If its just a piece of tail that could come back to bite you in the butt, I'd probably let her go.

Always remember, women can say anything and face no repercussions no matter how wild or damaging the allegation. I had 1 chick who worked for me say that I tried to "hit on her," and another say that I "looked at her innappropriately" and "made her feel uncomfortable." No one in their right mind would take the allegations from either of them seriously, because neither is remotely attractive nor too far removed from the trailer park. My rep as a "ladies man" actually helped me. My boss and other co workers have seen my girlfriend as well as several other chicks I've been dating and laughed at these girls. This lawyer chick I bang on occasion is still talked about almost daily, and my co workers haven't seen her in over 18 months.

My point is simple, I was called on the carpet and admonished by the head of HR (some fat old broad who probably hasnt been laid in 20 years) not because she thought either allegation had any credibility but because I had a rep for being a "ladies man." Be careful, women can get you in a lot of trouble, If you end up pissing her off she might try to get you back.

I dated a girl I worked with for a few months.

Up until meeting her I had always said no to dating girls I worked with, but she was very high quality so I broke my rule.

The rule is there for a reason.

Odd's are she will become your ex at some point, and you'll see and interact with her everyday; possibly for a long time.

I'm lucky things worked out fairly smoothly in my case, where the breakup was friendly, but it could have turned out a lot worse.

Definately not something I see myself doing again.

My ex wife worked for a company that she wanted me to work at as well. Much better pay, closer to home. We wouldn't work in the same department. I'm a driver (I work for Budweiser) and her in the office.SO why not right? Well, like I said in my first sentence, "EX" wife. She no longer works there, she quit after we split cuz she had been hooking up with one of the salemen behind my back. Quite interesting though when I do see this sh1tball. I have a very intimidating look for special occasions.:box: So I say, um, yeah, not a good idea to mix the 2, love life and work.

Holy sh1t.

Jendean, has he said anything too you about the situation? Not trying to stir things up, but Gdamn. Man to man. What does he say to you?

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

LOL, he will not even look at me. One day he turned the corner and saw I was there talking to one of the girls in the warehouse, he tried to just be invisible, but it was just us 3, he looked at me as if to nod, I just looked him in the eye and said " You did me a favor, good luck to ya!" And with a big ole smart a$$ grin put both my thumbs up.

Let me tell ya, he turned red as can be and just hurried away. I love it!! LOL

Actually, he will not leave the building through the back just to avoid me. I will not do anything to him cuz I'm over her. Everything comes back. I have a great woman now.

He's got a psycho LOL. And I hear he's a stoner, coke head, who is usually bombed on Jack. What a winner. Way to go dufus, the both of em. LOL

HELL YEAH

I think one of the biggest things to remember when your woman cheats on you is it was HER decision to fvck up the relationship. The guy she fvcked was just the opportunity to follow through with it. But she was the one who MADE that decision and she would have carried it out even if it was a different guy.
