I have a really hot girlfriend whom I work out with at the gym often...she gets alot of stares from guys cuz she's a hottie...(no problem) however there is this one meathead **** of a guy who keeps trying to talk to her...and she's getting annoyed....well anyway, we were on the treadmill doing some cardio and we were have a great conversation, when this meathead comes running up on her with me besider her, and tried to start talking to her and **** with me right there beside her! It just ran all over me...so I said to him...let me introduce you to my girlfriend..he replies "So"..."that don't mean I can't talk to her"...so I replied, "THE **** IT DON'T"!!!" Just because it pissed me off about how loud and disrespectul, and downright rude he can get...So he then turned around and walked off....She seemed to have liked the fact that I basically stood up to him and nobody else in the gym seems to ....because he is loud and obnoxious and tries to hit on ALL the women there.
Think as DJ I handled it right?
FEEDBACK?

Or do you think it made me look weak or strong? Honestly it felt good, cuz I'm just tired of his mouth, and his rudeness. It has nothing to do with me feeling threatened in any way that he would take my girl.

Dax,

Welcome to the world of dating hotties. Did you know what you were getting into when you started dating her?

I like hot girls, but sh1t like this can be a total pain in the azz. A man only has so much energy, and putting it into fending off competition is such a waste!

What I would do if this guy pulls something like this next time, is yell "HEY MAN. LEAVE MY GIRLFRIEND ALONE." Really loud. Loud enough so that everyone can hear you. Loud enough that everyone will remember what a tool the meathead is (if that isn't clear enough to them already). Totally call him out and see what a tough guy he is. He can't be an alpha if the whole pack is against him.

Myself, I used to get mad and yell at people in situations like this. Now when its necessary I do what my friend laughingly refers to as "making eye contact."

I walk slowly up to them, invade their space, and stare them in the eyes, while I slowly and methodically explain to them why what they are doing is unacceptable and why they need to stop. No threats, no anger, just tell 'em how it is. Completely blank expression on my face.

I've had nothing but positive results with this, and I'm not physically intimidating at all.

There is something about remaining completely calm and matter-of-fact that seems to defuse these situations. The average person will get very nervous when confronted and the fact that you are remaining calm seems to win out.

Thanx Jcrew....appreciate it...., but I didn't really do it for her..., I did it cuz I was tired of him acting like an ass all the time, and disrespecting me and all the others around him...but you're probably right....I should of approached it differently.
