Well my gf's been a bit off with me lately etc

Anyways i normally ring her so i text her and said "i'll ring you after the grand national."

so anyways 20 mins after the grand national ended i text "well i'll be nice and let you ring me "

did i do this situation right? i mean as in im i getting the hang of this?

It depends how she's being a "bit off". If she's not in a good mood, then teasing and joking with her is the worst thing you can do. Also consider, she may be off with you for not being a gentleman, in which case it was a bad move.
