So I'm feeling my lowest at the moment .. Last year I was made redundant and went self employed .. But that isn't working out so I'm now jobless back at my parents and not spinning many plates oh and I'm broke. At the age of 31 I don't things can get any worse. So really need to sort my life out ... Stuck in a rut.

Line up your problems and your stressors, and work on each one in a methodical fashion until you make progress. Without a job you need something to get you going. Try to get a job in a call center, they make around $12-$18/hr and get you into contact with large corporations.

For stress problems and confidence, it helps to start a workout regiment. Working out bleeds out stress and eats negativity. You will get a better body, and gain confidence in self.

Longer term plan to put you back into a proper career path.

Girls and females can wait, but it would be cool if you had a low stress friend who could occasionally provide conjugal priviledges and not use too much of your time.

Don't drink or smoke weed while you are in the hole. Work your way out.

If you gotta get a car, get like an older camry or Altima. You can spend $2000-$4000 and have reliable transportation to get you to and from work.

Don't spend too much time helping friends and relatives because you have "nothing" to do since you don't have a job.... Pepole will do that and use up all your time. Your job is looking for a job during the days.

While you are out, it's a great time to get in awesome physical shape. Plan your come back so that you are better than when you left off.

Do some productive reading on confidence, esteem, motivation and your business interests.

Put good food in your body.

I agree with the above post. I would like to add some points that you may find useful:

Newsflash. You are not jobless. You already have a job right now, and your job is to get your **** together. You need to treat it that way, so that you have a positive mindset and you guarantee that you will work towards your goals everyday. You need to work 9-5 everyday on getting out of unemployment, fixing your problems and getting what you want.

Get any job for now, just so you can get some current work experience under your belt. Print out 10 copies of your resume, put them in a plastic file and apply anywhere. Go online and apply there too. I know you moved back in with parents, but the good part of living with parents is that you don't have to pay rent or for food! Most of your wages can go straight in your savings account, which is a big advantage you have, until you get your own place again.

Pick a certain line of work you can go into. If it's necessary, get a degree for it, but keep in mind about the debt you might get. Certifications are quicker and cheaper alternatives for getting into certain work sectors.

See things in a positive light if you can, cause it's going to be tough. But if you work at it hard and consistently, you'll get out of this for sure, it'll only be a matter of time till you'll be where you want to be.

You are in a perfect spot to figure out what it is you are really passionate about and then pursue it like you've never pursued anything else before.

Instead of thinking about this as "Wow man, I'm so fvcked". Think of it as a new oppurtunity to figure you and your life out. These things happen, but remember, the way a man gets back on his feet is the true judge of his character.
They say it's almost guaranteed it's going to happen, as if society has a hidden system that will knock you down and it's up to you to stand up better and stronger than before. It happens to all...
