I live on my own so all my expenses go to my house, bills food ect. and i am saving up for a vacation. I honestly dont mind walking and taking public transit, but no having a car just seems like dating will be a lot more difficult. Are any DJ's out there in a similar situation?

when i first got clean off drugs about 8 years ago my friends basically just took my car keys from me for 6 months and they were right i would have went right back lol. but still i was without a car and I dated. At first i was kinda self concious about it, i'd let girls know i have a car i just can't drive now but **** after a while i really didn't ve a **** and neither did they. more than once a date and i walked to a resturant. i'd have girls drive me to the gym and one girl even would let me use her car while she was in nursing school as long as i picked her up when she got out. none of them could have cared less.

Here's the thing about not having a car: if she likes you and you're doing everything else right, you not having a car won't be a big deal to her. However, it will also be a gauge for you to find out when she starts LOSING interest - that's when you'll start hearing things like "oh, I wish you had a car" or "I wish I didn't have to do all the driving..."

It's kind of the same situation when I was younger living with my mom and couldn't bring girls over. I'd find girls that I could date that could have me over easily (whether it was cool parents or them living on their own.) Worked for me.

She won't care. Just explain your reasonable reasons for not having a car.
You can ask her to meet you wherever you set up the date. It's probably best to do that anyways, car or not. It makes the date more casual (and hence fun) and you don't have to make small talk with her while driving. I actually don't see any advantage at all in driving her yourself to the date destination.
