"Date other women"

A girl ends our relationship saying she just doesn't like me in the same way. This was... Almost a month ago. I'm convinced that she's worth trying to get back, so I've done what you're supposed to do: haven't talked to her or seen her at all for 2 weeks now, and talked to her maybe 3 times very very briefly on msn (like, hey, what's up oh yeah how's that alright... and then either I have to go or she does).

Now, I went on like two dates with this one girl (one was sort of a date, we hung out just before I went out with the girlfriend and ended the relationship that day) and now she's all over me. She wants to go see a movie some time.
Then there's another one that's talking to me a bunch on msn and she wants to get together and she has "absolutely nothing on, just call me."

Here's the deal though: I'm an attractive guy and I have the social skills. It is no problem getting dates. But I haven't found anyone who is worth my time. I don't give a **** about these girls. It'd be easy as hell to do well with them, but I don't care and I don't want them.
I know the typical advice is "date other women and cut off contact," but the fact is I'm trying to escape the LJBF because I think that my ex is worth it... I wouldn't be trying this for any random girl. Is it really key that I date other women? Because quite frankly they just aren't up to my standards.

No man. You should never give up on her. Because a winner never quits and a quiter never wins. You should step up your effort and go all out. Tell her how you really love her and how you have never met anybody else like her and you never will. Tell her that you wil do anything to get her back. Tell her that all those chumps don't deserve her.

If you can, set up an expensive dinner date, and dress formal; show up to her place with some flowers and chocolats. Make sure it is candlelit. That is the time to open up to her. Only then will you know if it was meant to be. Don't live the rest of your life regreting it.

She doesn't like you as much as you do. How much clearer can she put it to you? She is making it very easy and you are just sticking your head in the sand.

She's just playing with you in order to check your interest level. MEMO: girls do this in order to reaise their self esteem. Even when they don't want you, they want to know that you matter to them. Stupid logic, I know, but that's what they do.

Actually I almost stopped reading because it looked like ****ty advice. Then I realized you were going to try to pull one of those "surprise surprise -- you've got oneitis you chump!" things so I skipped the top half and read the rest of your post.

Where did I say I want to do some wussy AFC move? I said I was trying the typical friendzone escape plan... If you have any advice related to that then I'd be glad to hear it. I'm talking about the potential benefits or drawbacks to dating other women just for the sake of it.

GIRLS tell GIRLS EVERYTHING i have always worked with nothing but women. and i make my point not to interfere work with relation so in return, i get to hear them gossip constantly. believe they say alot more than hes a good kisser.

The key things are:
Increased experience.
Understanding and being better prepared for sh*t tests.
Increased confidence.
Increased social skills.
increased sexual skills.
Increased Value.
Increased Social Proof.
Increased familiarization of the Female Mind and her emotions.
More "fun" times with girls, man. Makes it easy to focus on positive energy and good times, rather than moping and wallowing, pining, and feeling soprry for yourself. Which may happen if you're not out there. YOu may feel that you won't slip, but going out with differne tgirls makes it a higher chance probablity you won't slip into a downward spiral.
Increased decision making and leadership skills.
Better prepared for dates.
More familiar with many different dating venues, events, clubs, parties, picnics, action dates, etc etc.

Dude, there's a whole plethora pf reasons fors till going out with different women, even though you feel some of these chicks are "below you".
The thing is, you're out to have fun. Not look for your future wife.
Keep it in the correct perspective.

are you not in on this conversation with us as well since you have obviously written in here. I could care less for your respect if your not willing to give it but you should know my post you quoted was to give actual proof of something that happened that day, to show the truth. I mean if you don't wanna hear the truth you can go on pretending sex isn't an interest of most of the people in the world today as it has always been for centuries. Casanova for instance, the very inspiration to the love life of many today, had two girls in his teenage years and they were the ones who made advances to him. He was all hooked on some Angela chick at the time.
