When I hit the clubs I do dance....but I am only average....how/where can you learn to dance better lol

This would be a great skill to improve on as it would increase confidence at the clubs immensely.......

Oh damn, I have to make a thread about this...
Recently, I've always got some extra room on the dance floor while many chicks check me out whole time!

Your best bet is to watch the people at the clubs you frequent. You don't want to do Justin Timberlake moves at a R&B club.

Well actually I pull it off quite nicely, I memorized both his "Like I Love You" and "Rock Your Body" video, hey I like to dance, and he is quite stylish. Now I don't perform the whole routine at a club, but I might take a turn from a video, and then do somethin else, and then add a pop-lock from the video and do somethin else. But that's all I do, watch Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Usher, B2K, and other break dance videos. Watch them over and over again and just pick out whatever I like.

Dance clubs are a waste of time.

The real players hang out at the pub/lounges.

I don't go to clubs to dance, I go to clubs/bars/pubs/taverns/lounges to meet women.

Here's a response I wrote from an earlier thread on why I think dance clubs are a waste of time compared to bars/pubs/taverns/lounges:

I rarely go to dance clubs anymore.

Instead, I go to the "Pub/Lounge" type places for several reasons:

1) Most of these places don't have dance floors, although they do have ambient background music.
The women that go to these places are there to meet guys, not to dance.

2) The music is more for atmosphere at pubs/lounges and is not ear-splitting loud. It makes it 1000% easier to talk to women and run your game.

When you're at a dance club and you're trying to talk to women, you have to lean in so close to hear/be heard that you can't hold eye contact during conversation or read body language and almost have to yell to communicate.

You say something, and she says "what?" - you repeat yourself, this time louder and she still can't hear you.
Eventually she does, but then you're the one saying "what?" to her reply, and on and on, back and forth.
Very frustrating and a waste of time.

And for you students of SS, it makes it impossible to use patterns (shifting tonality and such) in a loud atmosphere.

Not to mention, most of these places get really crowded to the point where you have to fight your way thru the crowd and wait forever to get a drink or use the bathroom.

Not to mention, it gets hot and sweaty in those places due to the large crowd. No thanks.

3) Dance clubs are often populated with groups of women who are just out for a night of dancing with the girls and nothing more. They enjoy the attention and all the AFC's buying them drinks just so they can dance with them.
Again, the Pub/Lounge going women are pretty much there strictly to meet guys.

4) Dance clubs usually have some cover charge of anywhere from $10.00 to $30.00 or more, as well as a long wait to get in.
If after you wait in line for an hour and drop a fair amount of coin to get in and don't like the scenery, too bad.
Besides, I've got better things to do with my Weekend night(s) out than to stand in line for an hour while watching all the people on the VIP list waltz right in.

I go to an area in San Francisco where there are about 10 upscale pubs/lounges within a quarter-mile radius.
You should see how packed the streets get in this area on a weekend night.
It's almost like one big street party.
No cover charge or wait to get into any of these places either.

5) If you're not a good dancer, you probably won't do that well at dance clubs. The alternate is to take the time to learn to dance well.
The problem with that is that it's time - consuming and only helps your game in one environment.

That's time and effort you could be using to hone your DJ skills.
Skills that will help you PU in any environment, not just dance clubs.

In my opinion, the Pub/Lounge scene is a better bet than the Dance Club scene when it comes to meeting and picking up women.

Interesting, is that list all inclusive. In all of the articles posted it says that it is possible to DJ wherever you go. Limiting yourself to just where you are comfortable just limits your game. Not that you won't be able you sarge but you limit the breath of where can.

I see it like this, when I am single, I will sarge whenever and wherever I go. I will go to dance clubs because I prefer women who are not inhibited in expressing themselves. More times than not people who don't dance are uncomfortable doing so in front of people. I'm assuming its some type of insecurity.

In bars I tend to come across people who prefer drinking and or smoking as their method of socializing. For me I enjoy people who get out a bit more. More times than not when I meet someone in a dance club, she knows of other quieter, more intimate places to get to know each other one on one. In bars and pubs they usually want to go to another bar or pub, go figure...

Anyway, I'm not completely denouncing bars and clubs but they tend to get boring if all you do is sit and drink, its just not a preference of mine. But I will not limit myself to only particular areas to meet women, where is the fun in that?

One of the best things about being a DJ is not only expanding your capabilities of meeting women, but being capable of taking advantage of being able to do it when ever and where ever you may be, taking advantage of opportunities that AFC would not feel comfortable engaging.

I was merely pointing out that in my opinion, that dance clubs are not as good as the pub/tavern environment for the reasons I listed above.

I have limited time to sarge chicks, so when I do go out on a weekend night, I put myself in the environment that is most conducive for meeting and picking up women.

Spending time waiting in line to get into a loud, crowded dance club where communication is difficult is not exactly a prime environment for DJ'ing women for the reasons I listed.

Agreed 100% there Derek, I rarely Sarge at the clubs anymore, for many of the reasons you listed. My cold approaches on the street/other places outside bars are so f'in money right now I don't even need to go to clubs, bottom line.

No clue?

I've been going to bars and clubs for nearly 20 years.

I'm a veteran of the bar/club scene. I've picked up dozens of women in those types of environments and to this day, I can still pull girls out of those places that are nearly half my age.

Can you say/do the same?

Instead of making blanket, generalized statements, how about refuting my original post point by point?

Are you up for it?

Don't waste your time with them Derek. I get your point 100 percent. Unlike them, we have YEARS OF EXPERIENCE with the club/bar scene.

I hear where ya coming from. The club scene, for the most part, is lame. A great DJ can cold approach people he comes in contact with in everyday life. Thats were i get my scores nowadays. I would NEVER go back to the old days of tryin to hook up at a club. Screw clubs. Overpriced alcohol, a bunch of attention whors running around looking to boost there own ego, bitc h shields everywhere, not to mention a sea of sausage and music about a thousand decibles to loud. If im going anywhere social, its a sit-down type of bar, if that. Much easier.

Hey everyone, if ya don't wanna take our advise, don't. Learn the hard way.

'Nuff said. We're not trying to pickup women with walkers. I didn't realize you meant the retirement get together 'how down show down'. Obviously that's a totally different atmosphere then us youngins' are even referring to. BAHAHAHAHAH

And half MY age would be 13, so NO - I can't do that. BOOHOO!

Women with walkers?
You mean like the 23 year old hottie I pulled 2 weeks ago?

My advice to you is this:

Pray.

Pray that when you are my age, that you look half as good as I do.

Pray that when you are my age, you are in the physical condition that I am.

Pray that when you are my age, that you can phuck for half as long and half as good as I can.

Pray that when you are my age, you have a full set of hair like I do, and a youthful appearance like I do.

Pray that when you are my age, you can still pull the young honeys that are young enough to be your daughter.

And pray that when you are my age, you've made it to the big leagues and are no longer wasting your time with those Hoochie-Mamas in cheesy dance clubs.

Obviously, you can't step up and dispute the points in my original post, because you know they are valid.

I didn't think you could, and you didn't dissappoint.

Hold on, I can't keep up. Justin Timberlake, women with walker, 13 year olds, paying homage to some diety... I need a scorecard.

Lets face it, some people who dislike danceclubs say that they are a waist of time for whatever reason. So be it, some people think otherwise.

What I don't understand is that if it is possible, why not just compare notes or refer to The Bible to share the knowledge. Personally, I don't think that it would be a waste of time.
