Couldn't well believe it. I've been doing better than ever, meeting girls at the mall, school or on the street. But I was in the bar and a waitress came up and says what's going on...she was real hot, not a large grill, but hot. I ask her how she likes working there when a couple more ug waitresses come up and start working. I get my change and kind of drift off as their convo between them starts...went to get change for pool.

The whole time I'm thinking I don't want to be the punk who asks a waitress out. It's like going to hooters or asking a stripper out (even though that takes super-skillz). They hear it everyday all day. That's why I didn't. Anyway, as I continued to drink the more I wasn't going to ask her out.

I think I should have just done it without thinking and not worried about the waitress/client scenario. Basically because she came up to me. So I thouht I'd ask some of you what you think about that. No boundaries? I might need to change my philosophy on this real quick so that shyte doesn't happen again. I'm sure this has been discussed plenty of times, but any help...

I don't see anything wrong with asking her out just cause she's a waitress. Who cares if lots of other guys are asking her out all the time. Don't worry so much about what others think of you.

But don't worry about it, I have hesitated on talking to girls for stupid reasons too, I think we all do from time to time.

Look at this as an opportunity to learn, and don't let something like that stop you again.

Yeah, a new way to look at it might be, just let her be the judge. But it is a fact that some girls just get sick of dudes hitting on them...they're sitting targets. But with the right buying signs...

so what if she gets people asking her all the time?

U are interested in her N if she isn't then - THAT'S OK! Believe me. Learn from it and add your experience to your knowledge so that the next time u see a waitress that DOES interest u, u already have a step foward.

If u never do it, you'll never gain experience.

as simple as that.

I'm not gonna over generalize that all women love attention, because some really do despise it.

But women don't dislike the attention, they dislike the sleeziness or what have you of the guys that usually hit on them.
They wish that a decent guy would talk to them and ask them out.

She gave you buying signals, she wanted you to talk to her.

Maybe she is tired of tons of guys hitting on her, but then she saw you and thought she might like to get to know you even though she doesn't like being hit on alot.

See what I'm getting at here?

Yeah...Well, I frequent the pub that I'm talking about so maybe I'll give it another go sometime. In the meantime, I'll take this and digest it. I hate feeling this way as one would expect.

Yes but others are just after a good tip. That's one thing I learned working in the front of the restaurant biz.

Precisely the reason I back off from waitresses. But I do see now that I have to be more flexible, that was a missed opportunity because she wasn't even my waitress.

Many waitresses, like a stripper (not comparing the two), do what they have to do to make the bacon. If that means buttering up some fella, then she'll do it.

I'm thinking if I do see that girl again, I could use acting a bit aloof the first round to my advantage. Or maybe not...trying to get that silver lining.

The best would be to see her outside of work but so what if she butters u? U want it? Go for it. Eventually, u will seperate the flaky flattering from the genuine complements.
