After reading jwhite17 post I knew I had to overcome something I feared for the longest.

I think I have mastered pretty much every aspect in my game. Except cold pick ups.


I am planning to 50 but I was thinking in my bed last night their are over 4 million people in columbus why not do 100 it may take longer but it will be a better field report.

I did a few last night but I will wait until I have 15 to post on the results.

I normally meet women from them coming up to me saying things like your cute. Basically they hit on me and ask me out.

Or I get setup by friends. Because my male friends always say I have this friend name Roman and he is nice looking and has a good head on his shoulder. So they want to meet me and I kill them with my charm.

If I am at a doctors appointment and I see a girl I will strike up convo and number close.

But I want to do cold approachs just seeing a girl walking down the street. I want to be able to do this all of the time without that bullsh!t fear I have.

I think the other ways I normally get girls is the lazy way. I won't feel whole in my don juanism until I master this. That's why I want to do 100.

As soon as I have 15 I will post.

this is one of the last aspects that i need to master as well... i'm fine in clubs and stuff, but cold approaches in the street and mall and shops are much more difficult. i'm going to the mall this afternoon to buy a couple things and try it out.

A couple nights ago I was at Barnes and Noble an their was a girl there by herself that really caught my eye. For about 15 minutes I thought about just walking up to her and getting her phone number. I chicKened out. If your not use to it, that is some hard shiit to do.

I guess I'm thinking girls are going to think your psycho or something walking up to a stranger.
I'm going to keep working at it though.

Cold approaches have to be the most difficult thing to do. I get more nervous doing a cold approach than a job interview, first day at a new school (when i was younger) or first day at a new company. I dont want the girl to freak out & give me a weird look like i am some pyscho weirdo. If they do react like that, it will lessen the chance that i will do a cold approach in the future. I think alot of this has to do w/ the fact that ever since we were young we are all told by our parents "dont talk to strangers". I think talking to girls that work at a store/ mall is way easier. They are used to people asking them questions. But they are approached by alot more dudes than a girl walking around a mall.

Interesting thread. I have no problem with cold approaches, but more difficulty with the styles you have mentioned.... Generally an innocuous question will suffice. But hey, if they are approaching you... don't worry about it!

Seriously , the first fifty are hard, but it gets a lot easier after a whiles. Just try not to over-think it.

True, and also have fun with it.

Cold PU isn't really a skill or a tool in the DJ toolbelt, its just getting comfortable talking to people, thats really all there is to it.

No matter who you are, you are not gonna have a high success rate with Cold PU, soo much comes into play. Whatever you do, don't take it personal, who knows why she's not interested (supposing she isn't), it could be sooo many things.

Cold PU is simply a numbers game. Play the numbers, relax, once you get comfortable talking to people than you have it down.

I finally did 10 I know it's not nearly enough but I thought I should update.


I get sooooo! nervous with CA's.

I have been getting ready for college again. Juggling MLTR's, Working a full time job. I have not had the time to get out on the field.


1. I was at a store and I seen two cute HB8's. My friend wanted to talk to them so he waved for them to come over to us. When they got their one girl didn't do anything.

The other came striaght to me. I said put out my hand and said.

Me- Hi I'm Roman

She- I my name is ........

Me- What school do you go to

She- I don't live in ohio.

Me- Where are you from?

Her- Maine

Me- How long are you here.

She- One more day.

Me- Well nice to meet you ( Her Name)

I am walking back to my friends.

She- Wait do you want to do something tonight.

Me- I would love to but have to work. I really had two dates that night.

2. I was in a two story store and we seen these girls who were on the first floor.

I sent my friend to go down there and ask the girls did they think my friend Jay and I were cute.

So two mintues later the girls come up to us and I introduce myself.

Me- Hi

She- Hi

Me- What's your name?

She- ....... What's your name?

Me- Rome

She- What school do you go to

Me- OSU. What about you?

She- Independce.

Me- I said ouch that's a hs school.

She- Said I am a senior I'm 18.

Me- I said cool then cause I just turned 19.

She- Said let's exchange numbers.

So we did.

3. I went shopping with a friend.

I told my friend to talk to this girl coming up past us. He didn't so I said excuse me my friend wants to talk to you.

So he goes over and talks to her. After three or four minutes. I am thinking she is in to him.

But he comes over and says she asked about you and she wants to talk to you.

I said okay. So I talk to her but I didn't number close because she was going away for college.

4. I got peered pressured into talking to this HB12 I oromise this chick is bad. I mean hotter than most women you see on t.v.

I am not an AFC by no means but I knew this chick had to have a bf or an husband.

She was around 25 or 26.

So I go up to her

Me- Hi my name is Roman

She- Hi my name is ......

Me- I asked her what school she went to. I knew she had been out of hs. I thought this might flatter her or It could backfire and she could think I was trying to be funny.

She- Said aww aren't you just the cutiest I am out of school and I am engaged. She said I wish I could take you home.

Even though that sounded cool. In a way I was feeling like she talking to me like I was 8.

She said let me take down you number because I have the cuttest sister and she would love to be with a guy like you.

I thought that was wack so I gave her my number. I started thinking about me fvckin her in an all white room. I got the biggest boner and it started coming out of my boxers. I kept saying in my head " Down puppy".

After I gave her my number I told her nice meeting you.

5. I am in the mall and my friend goes up to two girls. I am talking to this asian chick who is a hb9.

Me- Hi what's your name

Her- I don't know

Me- I said do you have a bf?

Her- Nope

Me- Nice meeting.

That b1tch was laughing the whole time.

I wanted to say fvck you dumb b1tch.

My friend number closed. He told me that the reason the girl played me like that. Because she seen me at her school and she knows I have another gf.

That's why. Which is probably true.


6. I was at a party and the chicks walk by so me and a friend of mine do a group approach.

Me- Hi

Them- Hi

Me- Are you girls single?

One of the girls said I am.

Me- How old are you?

She- I am 20 how old are you?

Me- 19.

She- do you have a gf? Are those your real eyes?

Me- No gf? I'll let you believe whatever you want.

Her friend c0ck blocked and said we need to be going.

I said let's exchange numbers. So we did.

8. I was at the party and this chick kept asking me to do a beer bong with her.

I made her a bet that if she can do two beers without spitting. I would do the next one with her.

So she couldn't. She got beer all over her. I went upstairs to the bathroom with her.

Took off my jersey and gave her my T shirt after she washed up.

She said you are the sweetest. We made out for a while. She was on my jock the whole night.

9. I was at a media play. I walk in the store this cashier is checkin me out hard.

I tell myself that I am going into her line.

I get done shopping and she is no longer at her station.

I see her and she is walking up to me and touches my shoulder and says I can take you over here.

This guy wouldn't stop talking to her. She kept playing him off. As soon as I was about to talk to her.

He started to comment on my cd's.

I finally asked her for her number flat out and she gave it to me. I said by the way what's your name. She told me then she asked for mine.

10. I was at a fast food drive thru. The chick who gave me the food was a nice 8.5

I flat out said what's your name. Then said let me get your number.

I know I rushed it but she was at work and there were people behind me.

I know i have tons of flaws. But I am working on them. By the time I'm at 40 or 50 they should all be gone.

I just can't bring myself to believe cold-approaches work, unless you're Brad Pitt or something. I would think girls get tired of being hit on, especially in settings that aren't customarily pick-up environments.

I could very well be severely mistaken.
