I know there is a sticky dedicated to cutting, but I don't think anyone checks that thread too often anymore. SO...

When you are cutting, what kinds of changes do you see in your physique? Obviously, number one, you lose the body fat. But even though you can't really gain muscle mass while having a caloric deficit, does the body begin to look more muscular as a result of still hitting the weights hard?

Right now I've been cutting for about a week, and have noticed slight changes my body fat. I also am firmer, but was just wondering if when I am actually cut, if I'll look like I have more muscle on me than when I started the cycle.

Thanks

I don't really understand the question. You'll look more . . . cut. You won't look HUGE (unless you ARE huge already and are cutting from there).

In any event, when you are cutting you are going to think you're shrinking because not only are you shedding the excess fat, but your muscles ARE probably shrinking a bit (or at least not growing at the same rate your fat is shrinking).

For instance, when I came back after a summer of fun and no heavy weights, the trainer at my college looked at me and complimented me saying that although I looked smaller, I looked much more cut and looked like I was in better shape.

So expect a bit of shrinking. But you'll be lookin' better so you won't notice/care.
