Hi, guys it's been a while so I thought I'd stop by and get your views on this case study. What do you guys think of the situation of a guy getting rid of a woman he's attracted to because of other complexities (such as religion, moral and potential crime). This link is to one such story http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/22/us/iowa-irresistible-worker/index.html

A similar thing transpired in the movie "360" (starring Jude Law, Anthony Hopkins and Rachel Weisz) that I had recently watched. While I felt sorry for the woman I understood the man's point of view. Not everything in life is going to be fair. Sometimes people have to make tough calls to prevent a more messed up situation from happening. You should watch the movie and when you do also pay close attention to relationship between the male inmate who was released and the attractive woman he met at the airport. Try to see things from the point of view of both of these characters.

What are your thoughts?

It's not cool to send a response without reading the thread first. Apparently if you read the thread and the link you'd know your response doesn't make sense to what is being asked.

I've been playing with this thought as well, because I do select girls I wish to date for an LTR on genetics (on other things). I usually try to find out about her family, if there any weird malfunctions (like having two autistic brothers is a big sign of genetic deposition). I don't do that in a creepy way but as you get to know each other better it's usually possible to pry into the family history of illnesses. I do this for two reasons: I rather try to avoid ending up with who will be a wreck before she's 60 due to bad genetics nor do I want children that could have genetic defects on that kind.

But we do select girls on all sort of traits. Attractiveness, intelligence, performance in bed, how social she is. Why not on factors such as genetic or religion? I don't see what's wrong with select potential partners on traits most people don't look at.

KNOW of other Dentists who have done it...she was hitting on hitting on him and his wife worked there too. Another had to fire one after sleeping with her...and his wife found out.

As a Dental Assistant, she is spending much of the day sitting knee to knee with him, bumping heads trying to see, rubbing up against him when she walks around the room to get stuff. IF she wants you, she will have plenty of chances to flirt, "accidentally" rub her chest against you[have an AW in my office do that],etc. IF she's hot, showing her chest while bending over a patient you are supposed to be working on... yes it would be best if she was gone.

IN the OFFICE, we are situational alpha's

Ok, Sandhawk in the real life dentist situation from the link I posted I can understand why he fired her due to the temptation or working around her. In the news link the complaint here was that it's not fair. It may not be fair from her point of view but it's understandable and I'm can imagine myself in that guy's position (if I were married).
However, in the situation you described of the dentist fvking the assistant then firing her. Now, that is unfair. Although, one can argue that she wasn't forced into the act however, coming from her boss it's him abusing his position of power since she might have agreed to it just to keep her job safe. So, him firing her is not cool.
In the situation in the movie, "360" I feel the guy should've at least offered her an explanation (an informal one without any witnesses) so, that if she decided to press charges he could easily deny it.
