I started a cutting cycle about 6 weeks ago..and though in the beginning I had planned to only cut for 7 weeks (so Im done before my birthday) I'm gonna continue it for another 2 weeks (though Ill eat something very delicious on my birthday and not care about calories on that one day ;-)), because I see how I'm improving and that keeps me going. However, I was wondering if yall guys knew the feeling of being kinda depressed after cutting for a while? I had never heard about that, but it seems logic to me. When I think about what I'm gonna do with my life (as in college) right now I'm thinking to myself: uh no this major sucks..that one sucks..that's not really great either..I dunno if I cant get myself to study enough for that..and so on..but I know this feeling...cause thats how Im usually feeling when Ive been doing a diet for quite some time ;-). Anyways, Im just bored right now needed to get that off my chest and was wondering whether u guys knew the feeling...

Know the exact feeling bro.

In fact, I'm workin on a new diet I've dialed in for this cutting cycle, and it involves super low carbs, which leaves me feeling depleted, and sometimes slightly depressed.

I think today I'm gonna do a carb up because I've been feeling flat like that lately....

Yeah, I wouldnt call it fun. However, you should be having a "cheat day" once a week. Where you eat what you want. Also make sure you eat your fats at the right times to boost testosterone levels!

But generally, no, its not THAT hard!

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

Some ppl will disagree on this one, I know..however I think cheat days are great. Actually I never "planned" on doing it, but I just did it like every other week during cutitng..and well Ive thought of that idea, too and guess Ill soak it up, because it's really great when you know there's light at the end of the tunnel and it's just 6 days away..not 6 weeks or maybe months lol. Basically for me that cheat day has always been the day where I went out and partied..and drank alcohol (not overly much tho)...I think you should pay attention so you dont eat everything in reach on this certain day but rather eat normally as you'd do if u werent on a cutting diet..

I'm gonna give it another name then.... scratch out "cheat day" let's call it a "metabolic reset" or a "refeed day."

There's actually argument that if you don't go all out, but boost your calories to keep your body off guard, the fat los will stay ramped up and not decline.

haha, nice try semag=) but you have a valid point, then i will look up how to do real refeeds. i only know that you have to keep the fat VERY low.....but is this only for satured fats or for poly and monounsatured also? have you any information on refeeds? and thank you for your tips in my other thread.

"cheat days", trick your body into thinking you are taking in more carbs etc, and helps your body burn calories. "cheat days" are recommended by nearly all famous professionals who pull the best results. When I cut, I loose 1.5-2kgs a week. That is pretty damn fast, and my strenght actually slowly increases. (But then again, I dont cut to levels of 5% like competition bodybuilders, and I dont have to cut much fat, only several kilograms.

if you dont have to cut much fat than this is really fast! impressive that dont lose your strength but even gain some. then i'm pretty confident about a successful cut. i will do some refeed days if i feel too low on energy. thanks semag and clooney.
