Could we have a forum for Field Reports?

Threads in the DJ Discussion forum are pushed away from the front page into obscurity in as little as twelve hours. Most of the threads created consist of just a few sentences of guesswork. Why then would people bother to make field reports in the same subforum, threads of substance from your own life which often take a long time to write?

Field reports are among the best possible reading material, especially for those who want to learn. In these you have theory put to practice. Those who write field reports are by definition experienced. These reports are unlike almost everything posted here, they are certainly valuable reading, and they should be encouraged.

I suggest therefore that we have a separate subforum for field reports. I know that I would be much more inclined to write about my own experiences if I knew that they would stay somewhere where people could read them. It seems natural to me that we would have a Field Report Subforum.

I hope this idea can be taken into consideration, and hopefully implemented. Surely SoSuave would be better for it.

While we're at it, we should have a subforum for journals as well. They almost serve the same purpose as FRs, except they document growth, and can emphasize what went wrong a little better than FRs.

way back when ... a person would put their field report up and continue to add to it over time ... which is kinda the same thing as a journal. so it was all classified as field reports.
