Meeting girls not too much of a problem
Seducing them, not too much of a problem
Having sex with them not too much of a problem,

But after a while, it seems that I just can't relate to alot of women today. It may take a few months or years before it is evident, but I have realized how tough it is to find someone I can carry on a decent conversation with.

Women and men are so different. I find it hard to relate to women after a while. Especially many of todays women.

Tell me I'm not the only one that has extreme difficulty in relating to todays women?

I don't watch the trashy TV shows or stupid movies they like to talk about. I have a good career and lots of interesting hobbys.

What the hell is wrong with the women nowadays?

Theyre stupid and shallow and have an entitlement complex. Girls nowadays are good for only sex and social proof.

LOL, hey man, I'm right there with you. I would suggest keeping your conversations at an elevated level that is interesting to you. If she can't follow, nail her and move on!

Also, maybe pursue women that are sharing in your hobbies. For me, I work like a freakin madman, so the only thing that gets me through the week is going to the gym. I understand it's not what everybody likes, but for me, I enjoy it. I try to find women who are also interested in exercise and at least that's one thing in common that's intriguing to both of us.

My take is that many women that I date are entirely materialistic wh*res. They don't realize it, but their self esteem is based on a $700 Coach purse, which they have at least a half a dozen of. Add in shoes, clothing, accessories and maintenance, it just gets rediculous. The first thing I tell myself is, I'm not picking up the tab on any of that junk, so I'll nail you and be on my way. LOL, the joys of living in LA!!!

in a world of 6 billion people, you sound pretty normal to me-selfish and misunderstood or maybe you're just in love with your own self that you can't notice others qualities? get over yourself, there is about 600 million people like you! haha-just f***ing with u. Most people want to meet the perfect mate-that's not gonna' happen. find someone who balances, that's the best...

Then why don't you control the conversation.
You should always be in control of it anyway. Talk about your great job, your many hobbies. And the stupid movies and tv shows that they like but you don't know anything about gives you plenty of questions to ask them and keep the conversation going. Show an interest in them and their activities. Girls can tell if a guy is really interested in them or not, so act like it.

Yeah, my problem isn't in initial conversations, it's once I"m in a relationship with a girl and I get tired of hearing the latest scoop on Desperate Housewives or whatever lame show she watches because she has no hobbies.

Uggh Just venting a bit. Sosuave did change me a bit in learning not to kiss ass at least. I definitely hate myself for kissing up to girls like this.

Now the girl I'm dating now is a lot better, but sometimes I still feel a bit distant from her because of these things.

I usually find that same problem with men. I've only known one man who has been able to challenge me intellectually. Get involved in local politics and try to meet women interested and involved in such things. You can also spend more time in the places smarter women hang out...like museums, book stores, libraries, galleries, etc.

In other words you are saying that the two of you have no chemistry. So what you do in this situtation is create some. Do more things together with her. Get into some trouble with her.

Try some of these things for a date:

1. Have a water balloon fight in public (inside a mall if you really want to have fun and get in trouble with her)

2. Pick up a couple of cheap skateboards at Walmart and go boarding together in an empty parking lot at 2:30am in the morning.
(I did this last month with a couple of chicks and it was a blast, it was freezing that night but we had so much fun. They wanted me to push them on the boards so they could keep balance [good opportunity for kino])

3. Get a blowup doll from your local porn store and tie a rope around the neck. Take your girl and the blowup doll with you on the highway, have her roll down the window on the passenger side while you are driving at 65+ mph and push the blowup doll out the window flying it like a kite.

Those are just some ideas off the top of my head.
After doing any or all of these things you guys will have plenty to talk about later. Why? Because you had fun, excitement, and you did it together.

1st..You need to start asking yourself why you're in this relationship to begin with? Are you just banging her hoping for something better to come along? Or, are you willing to compromise a bit and come down to her 'level'?

I ask these questions because after reading the DJB and the advice on this site, many guys start to develope a superiority complex and attitude that they are the 'prize'...sound familiar?

Which is true, a man should be confident in every aspect of his life...but to talking down people because they don't meet EVERY exact standard is pretty arrogant.

I think a lot of fellas on here get the terms compromise/kissing ass/supplication mixed up. In any relationship, whether it be with your boss, friends, family, kids, parents, wife, or girlfriend, there HAS to be compromise. If there was no way to live life ALWAYS on YOUR terms. Forget about it, you'll lose plenty of great women and good friends if you live life that arrogant.

Giving a little on trivial things like what she watches doesn't mean you are lowering your standards. And, watching an occassional episode of Desperate Housewives doesn't mean you're kissing ass/supplicating to her. What will it hurt? Honestly...bro. I don't think you have a problem relating to todays women...but I think you have a problem with comming off your pedistal for a second to see how great a woman you might possibly have...flaws and all.

Actually this girl and I do have better rapport than any other girl I've dated.

I think you are right I have to come off my high horse about a girl who watches a little tv and movies (I go to the extreme and watch very little, although the internet certainly takes up my "junk" time)

Thanks for the advice. And things are going great with her, i just posted the e-mail after a bad spell, conversationally.

The gay ones are those that relate too much to women... Blackgame?

Man and women are different in most things. Sure we all have similar thought processes but once physiology is added to the picture (which is what usually defines your hobbies, etc.) we are very different.

Compare a guy who dresses barbie dolls as a hobby and a guy who works on his car. Hmm... can a woman relate to the latter guy?
