i been trying to game this facebook chick i'm due to meet as a back up from the other plates i'm spinning.

her boyfriend is way out of town and she only gets to see him like once every 2 weeks so i feel it's doomed provided i pace myself right..

anyway she texts me out of the blue today since we've been flirting a bit in messages.. and tells me she's on holiday with her bf..

i never even msg her i don't really know why she's telling me this.. i think maybe she feels guilty as is trying to establish her boundaries?

she asks me if i've met her before in the past cos my name is familiar.. why do girls put that crap at the beginning of their message.. i think she's just trying to tell me she has a bf so back off?

i dont know what to respond with..

the reason you dont know what to respond with is because she has made it AWKWARD.

lets reverse the situation and suppose you sent a girl the same text. She would prolly just reply back with some nonesense, or not at all.

Why put so much pressure on yourself with the 'right' reply. girls dont.

just reply back with 'yea I get that all the time' , off to do x with y tonight, going to be a blast.

no need to say anything more. this lefts her know your doing stuff, your exciting, and your not INSECURE by trying to chase her and keep conversation going by text.

Women go on holiday with their BFs and break up straight after ALL the time. Dont read much into it. They happily swap their partner for a better monkey all the time. Are you that better catch?

her text was like 'hi i'm with my bf out of town, but was wondering have we met before? its just, thinkin, back i think your name is quite familiar'

what the hell is she on about?

i'd understand if she just wanted to carry on the convo cos she wants my attention but she wouldn't have mentioned her bf just to establish her boundaries and where i should be thinking..

i feel like she didn't even need to mention her bf if she wanted to ask me if we've met before.. she clearly put that line in to get me to back off and LJBF myself.
