So I've noticed for a while that a lot of people ask, "hey, do you work out?!" type thing and some just oggle me silently... It's sort of odd though because I actually don't work out at all..in fact, I lead a disgusting, idle lifestyle with one of the worst diets you've probably ever seen.

Now here is the thing. If I DID work out, consistantly, with a plan, I imagine I would be JACKED. If I'm at this stage from being a slob, I could do wonders with some effort.

Now I have a bowflex machine, but for some reason I go down to it and I just can't seem to get anything done...I may get one session done, but then I don't continue with it and its months until I use it again.

What should I do to really MOTIVATE myself to go down there 3 times a week and not let my potential go to waste?

Also, what sort of workout plan would you guys recommend for someone who is already fairly well built? I'm not skinny so I don't need to 'start from scratch', I need to more or less 'build on' what I already have. Any recommendations?

Thanks mates!

If you've never worked out before you need to start from the beginning regardless of physical development.

You need to look into free weights/kettlebells. Bowflexes don't seem to be much more than a gimmick.

For BBing you have to really want it deep down, a burning desire. That's what it takes to get great.

Damn lol...I think I need to find something that would require me to body build, like rock climbing. That way I have a passion to fuel the desire to be stronger. Or I could just convince myself that a really great body will make me more attractive, that's always good motivation I guess.

or you could tell yourself to stop being a lazy fcking slob and just go do it knowing you're doing something great for yourself in the long run. Also, that blowflex thing probably won't get you anywhere...

And a lazy fcking slob I am...I did clean up my room the other day at least. But perhapes you are all right. I think I just need to DO IT and get my act together. Unfortunate about the bowflex, though...that puts a damper on things.

How old are you?

When I was in my teens, I had a very slender build. Often I used to get mistaken for an athlete/swimmer when in reality i was the laziest slob on earth with zero energy for physical exercise

Now I'm 25, and I have gained a lot of fat. People keep telling me to lose weight :D If you don't want this to happen to you eventually, you should take up some form of exercise

Read the Book of Pook. He will inspire you to improve yourself.

And maybe get a friend who will start going to the gym with you.
