I've been on here so much the past couple of weeks because of the hell that has become my home situation...thanks to the biotch that lives next door. I have to rant...so I'm just going to start a rant/vent thread for everyone's use anytime you're PO-ed.
I moved into this apartment with what I considered to be a totally awesome landlord last October. Another family moved in but only stayed a couple of months because they split up and neither wanted to stay. No problems at all with those folks...we were both "mind our own business" types. The other side of the house was empty for a month or so and then a young couple, their baby and her mother moved in next door. The young mother is the nosiest trouble making pain in the arse biotch imaginable. She calls the landlord several times a day asking for stupid things...she found a hornet inside and expects the whole place to be bombed for pests...when there is no problem. We have a little Jack Russell Terrier who we NEVER let outside unattended...EVER. This biotch lies to the landlord and tries to say the dog bit her. It didn't. She lies about all kinds of things...and spreads rumors. My 6 year old had an allergic reaction to Penicillin so I didn't go anywhere for a few days. She told my landlord my car was broken down...it wasn't. You get the picture.
So my landlord decides to sell the house. My 20 year old answered the door when they came to tell us that their friend was buying the house and that it was essentially a done deal. So I think the house is in closing. I have no written lease...it's month to month and informal. They claimed to be pet friendly. The neighbor has a cat...my 6 year old has been begging for a car for over 3 years, so I figure I should get one before new owner takes possession so there are no problems. I get her a show quality champion bloodline 9 month old CFA registered Blue Persian cat. Neighbor runs to the landlord and "tattles" even though there isn't a no pet policy...AND she has a cat. Grrrrr.
It turns out the friend doesn't buy house afterall...in comes realtor hell. The neighbor was supposed to let me know there was going to be showings starting on a certain day at 4pm. She tells me 2 hours before showing. I have 4 kids, and teenage boys aren't always neat little buggers. I needed some time to get ready. I call agent and explain I didn't get told and needed a couple of days before I would be ready for showings. Realtor calls landlord and landlord wigs out on me...not my fault no one freaking told me...cripes almighty! So the realtor is pushy, rude, inconsiderate, doesn't even attempt to make sure a time works for me before scheduling showings. I have to be here because of the dog. It's scared of people it doesn't know and if someone were to come in with no one home I'm not sure she wouldn't bite them and if she didn't she'd pee all over their shoes for sure. We do 4 or 5 showings and then ONE freaking showing I tell agent I can't do it then because I have appointments scheduled that day and things I need to do and offer 4 other times I could make it work...basically any day but that particular day. She calls landlord and claims I'm being "uncooperative" and interfereing in showing. Bloody hell...come on! How long am I going to have to sit at home for these arseholes before they show a little consideration for the inconvenience they're causing me when I pay to live here...Christ!
Landlord comes over pitching another fit so I cancel my plans AGAIN for this showing. They get here...go next door, look outside and freaking leave. I had front door open and screen door closed and was right here...waiting for them. Biotch realtor calls the landlord and LIES saying I didn't give access. She didn't even come to my damn door!
Landlord comes over carrying on like a raging lunatic...threatening me, trying to intimidate me...the whole nine yards. He offered me my April rent and security back if I move by the 30th of the month. He then tells me if I don't accept his offer he will come in, remove my belongings and lock me out illegally and to hell with the consequences because he "wants to sell the house". So, I've spent the better part of the afternoon consulting an attorney who has agreed to represent me for free because he couldn't believe this sheeit.
I called the realtor and talked to this biotches boss and told them in no uncertain terms that she'd best get her arse on the phone and call my landlord and tell the damn truth or I'd report her to the licensing board for unethical practice and sue her arse. I said within earshot of my trouble making neighbor that if I get one more visit like this from my landlord because of some sheeit she starts she'll be climbing her properly beaten arse out of the nearest dumpster and she'll be lucky if I don't file a motion against her too.
Now I'm deciding whether to try to call the landlord and attempt yet again to logically talk to someone who refuses to even listen to reason or if I should just have my lawyer contact him.
I could see if I didn't pay my rent or actually did something wrong...but jeebus...this is just insane.
