Anyone ever buy cologne from Amazon? I've read good and bad reviews. Mostly that the scent dissipates within the hour. Just curious as to others' experience.

If not Amazon, where online would you recommend, if online at all?

Thanks

I bought a Mont Blanc Legend gift set there. No issues with quality and the price was better than anywhere else online.

I honestly just use Axe Spray lol....the Kilo version works well and women always say I smell nice asking me, "What type of cologne are you wearing?"

Lol, I just lie and say it's made by some french guy.

I'm gonna weigh in with my brief thoughts on this then I'm out.

I've seen this topic come up on this forum before and other red pill type forums too. Guys asking each other what cologne to wear. Why do you ask this in the first place? Is it genuinely because you don't know? Or do you just want a shortcut to "something good" so you can just go out and buy it.

Cologne is a specific identifier of who I am as a person. If I start telling other guys what cologne I use, they'll just go out and buy it and act like they're god's gift to women because they're wearing this mixture because some guy on the net posted it.

This is no lie - it took me over 10 years to find a set of 7 different cologne fragrances which I personally identify with and absolutely love them. I love how it makes me feel, I love the smell of it when I first spray it, I love the women wanting to tear into my neck and shoulders because it gets their pvssy tingly and wet like you wouldn't believe.

But I should post what I buy and use and how I apply it? After over 10 years of searching for this stuff? Hell no. This is information I'm taking to my grave.

I do encourage you to try different ones. A good cologne will stay with you for a lifetime. My 7 fragrances can top nearly $2000, but I didn't do over 10 years of research and multiple trials and errors to start using crap like Axe or Drakkar or essence of frat boy. Don't be afraid to test different ones or try ones you think you won't like. You might need to wear it a different way, but ultimately does it fit who YOU are?

@saul:

Whoa! Reign in the vitriol dude!

I do have my own cologne and I'm not asking for anyone's brand recommendation. I suggest you re-read my original post.

I'm merely asking for anyone's experience dealing with Amazon in this regard. I don't care what kind of cologne you use and I don't want to know. I heard and read that Amazon sells a lot of knock offs where the scent dissipates rather quickly. However, their prices can't be beat. If what I hear is true, then I'd be better off spending the extra money and buying it at a large department store. But if it's the other way.....

Experience appreciated.

Thanks

Maybe you misunderstood what I meant. It didn't write it spew venom at everyone. With the internet, you've now got opportunities like never before because there are online shops that will sell you sample vials of all sorts of stuff. If that stuff were around when I was younger, I could have shaved probably 8 years off my search.

Anyway, give places like those a try and see what you like. Amazon is a retailer like any other though. If they sell the actual product, it's genuine. Just avoid knockoffs if it's something you like. I bought a couple flasks of my own off of there a long time ago but the price wasn't that much cheaper.

With all due respects Sir, your position on cologne is understandable if you maybe didn't want to share it with the guys you hang out with in person. 1) It's your identity and 2) You don't want them stealing your chicks... I get that.

But our core mission here on SS is to learn as much as we can, become the best men we can be, and help other guys out. Many of us here myself included have spent years getting our hearts broken by women, our lives damaged by toxic people, figuring out that alpha talks beta walks, etc., etc., etc. If we as a collective here on SS took the same position on other issues that you are taking on cologne, this form would be all questions and no answers, and what would be the point?

I was considering making an OP about cologne myself until I saw this thread. I've been wearing Obsession for Men sense I was 16 and have had great luck with it, but was also thinking about seeing what else was out there. It literally is the only cologne that's ever touched me other than maybe a casual spray on the arm in a department store.

Good point, and agreed. This place has lots of information for all to learn, which is the best part of the forum.

Clothes, shoes, hair, and cologne. All good topics seeing as how there are many guys here looking to be the best that they can be, and "good" advice on these topics can be difficult to find.

Le Male Jean Paul Gaultier for men. My cologne of preference, for anyone asking. I wear this and get the best results.

As for Amazon...I've ordered cologne from them and have never had any problems, but I find my best deals at outlet centers. Saks off 5th always seems to have some great deals.

Good stuff gentlemen. Make it a great day!

I take one of those Christmas tree air fresheners for the car, wipe it on my sleeves, then cram it down my pants. Works great, especially on stoner girls who think I am holding some dank ("damn, sorry babe, I just ran out, we can go get some more tomorrow morning. You holding?") I guess everyone will start doing this now and imitate me, but I just couldn't bear to keep the secret to myself any longer.

I could identify with this...IT HAS TO BE YOUR OWN UNIQUE SMELL...

I personally have liked colognes that are citrusy/fresh like polo sport to Fahrenheit (that's just me). Like the original poster mentioned before I would try various samples throughout the spectrum, see the reviews and do the research....you'll find what you like and narrow it down to "Your exclusive regiment"...

I agree with Saul, but to answer your main concerns, Amazon does seem to have plenty of knock offs. I shop for colognes in person, where I can test them out and actually smell them.

And to top off what Saul said, I've found MY cologne, it's Aventus by Creed. It's pretty pricey (@$150-250), which I could have bought it off of Amazon. I didn't want to buy expensive cologne and get a knock off with short-lived scent, so I went to Neiman Marcus and purchased it in person.

LOL

To condense down my ranting advice, don't be afraid to try all sorts of different colognes considering how many of them there are out there. Don't just stick to popular, well-known names. It has to be something that is unique to you. Just how everyone's signature is unique and different, it has to match who you are.
