I don't wear any of the crap. And the gal I've been seeing told me she likes the fact that I smell like a man.

A lot of the stuff is downright toxic. Really.

There's some good stuff out there though. It can really up your chances if you pick the right stuff.

Personal preference I guess.

I used to use cologne, but most girls I've dated and the ones I'm friends with all tell me that they prefer very little if at all. Cologne can be good for a bar or club scene, but in general I don't find much use for it, and I seem to do just fine with the ladies.

I think cologne is totally unecessary. How much of a difference can it make if she doesn't like your looks or personality? How much of a difference can it make if she already has interest? I don't think much at all.

I also don't like perfume on girls. I hate it when I hear guys say "she smelled so good." It wasn't her that smelled good, it was the perfume.

It is personal preference. If you're going to say that about cologne, they why not say it about cool clothes, or non-knappy hair every morning? Cologne brings a small sense of style if you use it right. But use it because you like it and don't depend on it as your main course of action to reel in women.

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

Good point. For women men's clothes are very important. I suspect for some of them men's cologne might be important too.
Though it is not that obvious: your natural smell, pheromones might work even better for the right girl.

I agree about toxic - it is not a good feeling even to know that we have to put some toxic stuff on our bodies.

Though how do survive in summer withoout any kind of deodorant? Talking shower 5 times a day?
By the way, I guess deodorants are much more harmful especially if applied regularly.
