Yo my man's whats going on?

Anyway man the thread that was brought up about cornell actually brought up another good question (at least for me).

This year is my last serious year of high school (junior year), I have right now about a 4.0 GPA (3.9 sometin) and I'm planning on getting it to like 4.3-4.5 (which I definetly will), and aiming for an 1800-2000.

Now I've been thinking (i live in Jersey/New york) about going to UCSB (santa barbara) for the longest times, but I also realized that there are great programs everywehre for what I wanna go for (psychology/psychiatry), and with HBs.

So what I'm asking my DJs, preferably those who are in or recently graduated college, what are some good colleges with some great HBs that also have a pretty good ciricullum (wow spelling error, and preferably for Psychology please).

So far my top choice is UCSB (only campus with its own beach, and the mountains right there), but I'm also looking at:

UCSD
UCLA (I'm kinda wary , is this in like the downtown area, I'm trying to get away from all cities and **** like in NYC)
UM (Miami)

And basically any other californian Universities (the main ones).

So if anyone has ANY type of information, especially about the woman quality please post em up.

And mods since it was relating to women I thought it would belong in GD, forgive me if it needs to be in anything else.

i have heard good things about the schools in Florida, from hot girls no less. The party scene down in gainsville is just out of control, and I hear women are easy lays. however, STDs run amok, so wear protection.

Again, I have not experienced this myself. Just passing on what I heard.

With those grades I would goto UM. Great school, great city, great weather, great women. UCSB is like a dream school, and the school itself really isn't that great. There are plenty of good colleges you can still have a great time at, so you don't need to pick out the nicest one just because it's ranked as one of the nicest campus's or w/e.

To be honest, I picked a school that was below my standards and I'm having the time of my life. It doesn't really matter where you go, as much as it does your perspective going into school. If you expect good things, there will be good things to come.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

My cousin goes to Miami for grad school; he did his undergrad at Cornell. He told me he was glad that he didn't go to Miami as an undergrad freshman because all of them there didn't know what to do with themselves with all the schoolwork, the drinking, the beaches, and the extreme abundance of attractive women... oh, and the hurricanes that left most of the school without power for nearly the entire season.

I don't know what your priorities are, but there'll be women and parties no matter where you go. Choose the setting that works best for you.

Lol yea bro, I think in theory you can get a 5.0 - 5.2, but its not possible at most schools since you can't get like honors physical education.

I think in order to break 4.0 you need to have all honors classes or AP and ****.

But yea you OBVIOUSLY aren't smart enough, it's a secret they only let us know :p.

I'm ****ing with you :p, but so far I'm looking at Miami and Cali, how is cali man?

Being from So Cal, I can tell you that San Diego has a reputation as a party school. The beaches are nice. Perfect if your into outdoor activites.

At UCLA, you will find a mix of everything. If you like asians, latinas, white girls, they got them all. It is pretty central in location in relation to hang out spots, clubs, beaches, etc.

Santa Barbara gets alot of rain, and there isn't much to do around there, according to a friend of mine. If you are really sick of the city, then it would be a great change of pace. You might get bored.

As a Psychology major, you will have TONS of females in your classes.

San Diego and Los Angeles has tons of hot girls of every kind. Santa Barbara isn't really known for hot girls, but it is a beautiful place.

Stay away from Berkeley unless you like womans-studies major slash feminist-angry *****-revolutionary-granola eating-whining-complaining hags. It is liberal capital of the world.

Have you thought about Irvine? It is in a really safe, quiet area of Orange County (perfect to raise a family). Alot of Asians there but still a good mix of people. Plus the Irvine Spectrum is nearby and so is Newport and Laguna Beach. I am a little bias because I live in Orange County. You cannot beat the weather and the females out here in Orange County.

The GOOD things about California:
-the weather!!!
-variety of females
-beaches
-food, especially mexican food. You gotta have a In-N-Out double double burger with "animal style" fries and a milk shake. damn it is good. The pizza aint as good as NY.

The BAD:
-not having a car is tough in California.
-traffic

The UGLY:
-$$$. The cost of living is high.

Good luck in your decision, let me know if you have any questions

Look, uni is pricey as hell these days. So, I suggest just going to the best, most affordable one you can get accepted to - unless you wanna be paying off student loans for your first 10-15 years of working.

And if you want scholarships, your standardized test scores >>> GPA. This is because it's a more objective measure. I myself got almost a full ride many semesters because I kicked ass on the PSAT and was a National Merit Finalist.

I dunno man... IMO, unless you're going to some hardcore computer technology school, there will be pleeeenty of girls no matter where you go. Seriously, just wait for freshman orientation and look around at all that... oppurtunity! Only thing in terms of girls that really does differentiate with schools are nationalities... for instance there are way more asians on the west coast i hear... or the fact that since my school is really close to a city with a really big hispanic population, half the girls here are hispanic... oh and party schools = more good looking girls (should be obvious though)

SanDiego STATE is a party school, UCSD is an anti-social school.
Theirs bairly any hot white girls at ucla, mostly hot asian girls
Theirs alotta rain like once a year, rest of the time is perfect weather.
Theirs parties everywhere at ucsb,
ucsb is a hot girl paradise. Maybe not santa barbara city, but the school does.

I go to ucsb btw, i'll be graduating next year.

First off, thanks again guys.

Second, race really doesn't matter to me (btw I'm black not white so it doesn't really matter), but a good mix would be great, especially latina women (I love them, I dunno why :p)

I'm really ****ing glad I heard from someone at UCSB, it seems like a huge party school, it having its own beach AND the mountains right there.

Anyone else? Especially people from miami, I'd like to hear some counterclaims.
