Hello everybody, my name is Sam. I'm 22 years old and I live in Italy. I'm an aerospace engineering student, and a wannabe Don Juan!
Let me tell you my story: thursday night I went with some friends to a nice Irish Pub in Turin (the city in which I live, which is gonna host this winter olympic games). I met a nice girl, whose name was Liz. I chatted with her for a while. Suddenly she left her place (that was right beside mine) to go speak with a friend of hers. Please note that I did not even start my DJ routine, which involves saying nice things and asking personal questions... to cut it short: I did not ask her for her phone number.
After a while, the barman came to me with a little piece of paper. I read it, and it said: "Liz - (her phone number) - Sorry if I left you alone, my friend is rather jealous. I gave my number to the barman".
I thought I had scored a nice point, much to the envy of my friends. After some minutes, when her friend was gone, I sat beside her once more. The barman offered her a beer, saying it was my gift for her (Italian barmen are really kind...). She smiled to me, and asked to share the drink with her. I even engaged in a light form of kino, which she did not seem to refuse.
At the end of the evening, when I left the pub, I gave her a little peck on a cheek, saying I was delighted to share a little time with her. She said something very similar, with a gentle smile on her face.
I waited for three days to give her a call. This morning I called her number and, much to my horror, an old man answered the phone. I tried two more times, trying to avoid the unkind reality of it, but it was clear that she had given me a fake phone number.
What bewilders me is that I did not even ask her to give me her digits... Why in the world did she mock me in such a way? She spontaneously acted in such a fraudulent and gratuitous way.
Doubtlessly I'll meet her again next week, in the same pub. I don't know how to act: should I go near her and say something like: "Wow, baby, your voice really sounds different on the phone!"... should I avoid her glance? I fear that she will be tempted to laugh in my face. I don't give a f*ck, but that would be annoying nonetheless.
Give me an advice, please. I've got the utmost respect in you, guys. So do not fail me! :woo:
