Is anyone here a civil engineer? If so, what exactly do you do? How was college? And how do you like your job?

I'm doing mechanical engineering, but I have several friends that are doing civ-eng. They like it.

Civ-engs basically builds all the buildings/bridges/highways you see around you.

Just a tip though, if you want to do engineering, make sure that you are motivated up the ying yang. Cause, it's a really tough course with an extreme workload. Today was my last day of semester and I had 4 assignments due, and in the last 7 weeks I've had 38 assignments. And they were all huge.

Accounting degrees are an S-load of work as well. And a lot of it isn't related to accounting, which pisses me off.

I graduated not long ago, and will start working in a few weeks.
If you wanna have fun in college, don't go for engineering.
It should be fun though when you start working. I was offered twice the average salary in my city.
You can either work in office on some projects, design proposals, etc. or on the site, supervising workforce.
