i have been reading about how to change your voice to sound deep and smooth.
aren't you stuck with the voice you have? if it changed, wouldn't you be forcing it? i don't know, but how does one CHANGE their voice? thanks.

you can't literally "change" your voice. there'd be a bunch of dudes out there sounding like barry white if that was so. but we can make the most of what we have by "improving" our voice. i HIGHLY recommend carol fleming's the sound of your voice. it's cheap and so worth it.

The voice can be changed but it takes a lot of hard work and training to do it.

You have to do three things, one, breathe in deep and deepen the tone of your voice as you speak, two, talk a lot louder than you normally woud speak, three, do affirmations telling your subconscious mind that you now speak in a deep voice.

At the beginning it will be hard as your voice will often drop back to its original tone and sound from time to time whilst you are talking to someone and they will give you a strange look of bewilderment as they won't know why you are doing this.

If you keep on training your voice you will eventually master it, but if you are either very tired or drinking alot of alcohol your voice will automatically revert back to its original sound and it will be impossible to change it until you wake up the next day.

Easy... your voice is an auditory reflection of who you are. Just like body language expresses everything about yourself... so does the sound/quality of your voice.

Mature into the man you want to become, and your voice will naturally follow.
Easy and as difficult as that.

As well... just like holding your body language as a poweful man, speak as one as well. Might be uncomftorable at first because your not at that level of power yet. Thus... the use of BECOMING COMFTORABLE with it. As you become comftorable holding yourself as such, and speaking as such... so you will become.

there is one MAJOR weakness of having a deep voice.

you will have severe trouble hitting ANY high notes while singing (im guilty)

me too, i noticed that some girls go craaazy for some guys with a very resonant and dark voice. most of these guys ain't PUAs, heck, they don't even look good or behave alpha or are tall etc.
(unfortunately my voice is a high baritone at its best...)

so can someone please answer me this question:
WHY do girls attach so much importance to a dark voice (sometimes more than to anything else)?

****, I'm not a chick and I don't enjoy talking to a guy with a whiny voice, lol... I couldn't imagine how much of a turn off it would be for a chick...

You want to sound husky? Shout a lot and smoke a lot of cigars, over time you'll have a much more raw and masculine voice, lol... don't know if it's worth it personally

Yes, I am going to work on speaking twice as loud as I normally do, because I think I normally speak with too low volume.

It isn't easy for guys who have severe speech impediments or voice disorders to attract beautiful woman, as they normally go for guys who speak in a deeper voice, a soft squeaky voice is a real turn off to the woman, I knew a guy who spoke in a squeaky voice, he was a top bloke, but could never get an attractive girlfriend and unfortunately suicided when he was about 30 after his emotional torment and his inability to overcome his speech problems resulted in his becomming a drug addict who lived on the streets, it was a sad story.

It's just a matter of awareness of the tine you use. WHen you start paying attention to it you relaise that youre using a higher tone when youare around ppl you think are Alpha to you.

Once you notice it you can begin to teach yourslef the habit of speaking in your deepest register.
