I hate authority and I hate anything that I can't control. Any ideas for a career for someone like me?

Policeman, firefighter, woodcutter, logger, construction worker, entrepeneuer [ONLY IF YOU LIKE TAKING RISK], security guard, forester, soldier.
Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Not quite. A business owner CAN call the shots if the product is worthwhile or s/he gains market share. Look at Microsoft, Cisco, Kraft, General Mills, 3M. People tend to buy their products out of necessity or habit although not all of the products are necessarily the best in the market.Originally posted by Paradox

Unless you start as police comissioner, a policeman answers to someone. Even the comissioner answers to the Mayor. Same for the firefighter, woodcutter, logger, const worker, security guard, forester and especially the soldier.
The entrepeneur answers to the customer.
A writer answers to the publisher.
A boxer answers to thr trainer and the promoter and the fans.
Moderators answer to Admin.
Almost everyone answers to someone.
Exactly, but you have to remember that giving the customers what they want when they want it is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of control and dominance. Why? Because you are the reason the customers are their in the first place, or atle ast what they perceive to be the image of you. In r eality, all you are doing is leading people to you and making them feel as though they have the will to choose, when in fact it doesn't matter what it is they are buying, you gain anyways.Originally posted by Francisco d'Anconia

The army has a way of changing people; if you come in with a chip on your shoulder, you definatelly would not leave with one.Originally posted by Centaurion
BWHAHAAHHAHA a soldier!!!????
sure.
Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Funnily enough I thought monks were solitary, but I watched a programme last night all about Benidictine monks and in fact the opposite is true!Originally posted by diablo
You could be a monk, living alone in a forest with only Bambi and Thumper to keep you company... no being fired because you were late to work, no worries about how much your next paycheck is, or if your boss likes you enough to give you a raise...
Other than that, you could always start a dive shop on some tropical island, bringing vacationers on scuba trips...
Haha, my thoughts exactly.Originally posted by TheRelic
What a ridiculous question. Grow the f*ck up.
God your right. It is always fun having something to revolt against. I've been working hard on my "me against the workd" attitude. You hate authority, but you hate not having it?
