I workout Mon, Wed, Fri.

Tue and Thu I do cardio for 15 mins on a stationary bike, 12 seconds steady 8 seconds hard. Is this an effective fat burning cardio session or am i wasting my time? If so, can you give me a cardio workout that will help me burn fat?

I have heard about this method and yes it does work. It all depends how much effort you put into it when riding. However Jogging/Sprinting burns off the most calories, also cardio works best if you do it in the morning BEFORE eating so your just burning off PURE FAT. ;)

Rowing machines burn more calories than running, and provide an all over workout, and you dont get rained on :D You can pick one up quite cheaply. If you have room for one, i'd get one.

I personally rotate between one minute hard, one minute easy and vice versa for 15 minutes, if I am doing it on a machine.

I was then doing 100 burpees as my cardio, but it got to repetitive. I've made a circuit now with deads/overheadpress/squats where I do 5 reps each with 25kg.

Just some ideas...

the trouble i find w/ stationary bikes is it's easy to slack off on them. if you're actually nailing the intervals & beating them hard, that's cool. i find almost any other machine prevents me from slacking (elliptical, rowing, etc.) but the key is to find one you'll stick with awhile. so if it's working, keep it up.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

i like the ellipticals with much longer intervals (2-5 minute intervals) that automatically up the resistance on the 'hard' periods. or you can do sprints, either on a treadmill or outside.

another option, at least when it's warm out, is to get on a real bike. but make sure you have 'bike computer' telling you how long / fast / far you've really been riding, it's even easier to deceive yourself about that stuff on a real bike than on a gym bike.
