Ayo wut up playas. Alright, so from what I read it seems like cardio is not recommended by the people of this site. My question is, what is the exact reason for loss of muscle mass during long cardio, the process? What happens during a long cardio that causes us to lose muscle mass? Thanks.

Your muscles is built up by two different kind of fibers, white and red. The white ones are the largest and they are used when doing intense work, the red is used during more long lasting work.

When the red fibers work they will come to a certain point were they will need more energy because not enough is transported to them the regular way. So they do what is easiest, they break down the white ones so they get energy. That is why Cardio is worthless for body building and that is why HIIT training is good because the red fibers never reach that point where they scavange white muscle fibers.

Damn. That makes sense. But is it just in your legs or does that happen in all of your muscles in your body?

It should happen to all your body's muscles. Most cardio exercises use nearly your entire body, especially running and swimming. So stay away from the cardio when you're trying to bulk up.

It depends upon what the training you do. A couple of years ago I did intense training to my legs, ran 7.5 Km a day. And the first body parts that started to feel weak was the quadriceps and the shoulders. So it is the muscle that do the most work that start to become weak quickest. But it happens to all muscles with enough effort.

Cardio is not wrong to use while bulking but it should be HIIT training because it uses both white and red fibers during training. And developing a strong heart and a good oxygen flow will help your bulking. Ordinary cardio done over a long period of time will hurt your bulking.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.
