What Is Good Cardio For A Smoker, Who Lets Say Cant Run A Block Without Loosing There Breath? Or Someone Who Cant Barley Walk To The Third Floor Without Gettin Tired........ I Mean Smoking Is Entirley Horrible, But Is There Hope?

Drive to the shell station to grap a pack of o wait never mind.

I have to say first of all stop smoking this will do you more good then any amount of cardio. Then do some googling, Im not sure if large ammount if cardio is ok for someone who just got off heaving smoking that damged there lungs.


DR Chillz can remane cool in any situation...

I have friends who are stoners and they tell me that smoking pot doesn't affect their lungs or fitness. Is this true? is smoking cigs the same as smoking pot? I always thought smoking cigs was worse. I'm pretty sure if you continue smoking it'll cancel your cardio efforts out so your better off droppin the habit.

Let me take a wild stab in the dark...

These stoners are what, 120 - 130lbs? They probably wear oversized jackets to hide how tiny they are, and they are careful to avoid physical activity because the effects of smoking pot might show.

That being said, yes cigarettes are 10x worse than weed, only because nobody smokes a like 10 joints a day. People who smoke ciggys have alot more than stoners, so they feel it more.

Cut the smoking and find better friends.

On a more serious note: I'm not going to tell you to stop smoking. A healthy pack or two a day is just fine. In fact, I don't think you're smoking enough.

You can obviously still climb a few flights of stairs and run a block. That's not very good at all. Why bother running? Can't you just drive there? And stairs... who needs em? Just take the elevator, or rent a Sherpa. You sure sound like a quitter to me.

Trying to improve yourself, you QUITTER. When you started smoking, what were you planning? Just to give it up? Or to 'distract' yourself with things like "fitness"? You gotta finish what you started.

You're still young, you still have time to finish this thing. Don't give up on smoking, its never too late to succeed. You can still achieve the dream. Or die trying.

Ya that's pretty much true I researched and read that Weed and tabacco contain different chemicals but both are still cancerous. I never really get why being high is so cool anyways there is a risk for "having a bad trip and freaking out" and that blows.

Call Me Daddy WTF? Are you seriously encouraging him to keep smoking? I would never smoke cigs gives you bad breath, yellow teeth, BO and nicotine addiction, which leads to being irritated all the time.

somehow my friend, who smokes probably 3-5 a day, manages to outrun my mile, and i go around 7:40. back when i used to do HIIT for 25 minutes, he kept up with me. few months ago when we accidentally walked into castro street in SF, he outran me back to the car. he weighs 20 pounds less than me but we're about same bf% who knows

Its conditioning. He's in better shape. He might not have more muscle, but his entire system is in better shape than yours. Cardiovascular mostly.

If you can get in the same shape he does, you can outrun him. Especially with that ball and chain he's wearing. (tar coated lungs)

LOL! Well, some funny things are in this paragraph. It's true that marijuana and tobacco contain some of the same carcinogens -- yet marijuana is NOT shown to cause cancer. There's never been a case of cancer or even emphysema shown to be caused by using marijuana -- and it's not from a lack of trying. Also, unlike alcohol or tobacco, marijuana can't cause death.

This isn't an acid trip. This is simple marijuana use we're talking about here. You've obviously been brainwashed by the shockwave caused by the Reefer Madness movie, where actors smoke a little weed and everyone kills each other. Believe it or not, there is no "bad trip" with weed. Of course, it isn't surprising that you think there would be. Let me give you a few quotes from the man who founded the war against marijuana, Federal Bureau of Narcotics Chief Harry J. Anslinger:

I don't know of ANY tobacco smokers in sports. Despite the fact that marijuana is illegal, I still know dozens of pothead athletes. Just to name a few off the top of my head - Ricky Williams, Damon Stoudamire, Nick Diaz, Randy Moss, Michael Vick. These are some serious athletes. Hell, even Arnold Schwarzenegger smoked pot all through his bodybuilding career.

I'm a 5'9" 140lb stoner and I'll get as physical as I need to with anyone, thank you very much. Forget the over sized jacket -- it would only slow me down. And never challenge me to a game of hoops when I'm high either 'cause I'll float right up to the basket.

Wrong. Puff for puff, tobacco is still worse. There's really not sufficient evidence pointing towards pot being bad for you. In the year 2000, 435,000 people died from tobacco in the USA. Also in the year 2000, no people died from marijuana anywhere. See the difference?

stfu im so sick of this weed and tobacco crap, your not going to convince or prove anything and your not going to say anything or show any research that hasnt been shown before. And this is coming from a stoner.

On a lighter note, you need to stop smoking. I would recommend playing a sport or soemthing where you have an objective other than running, as the adrenaline and competitiveness will provide extra motivation to push yourself. A prime example would be boxing or MMA
