okay, I'm guessing this is going to sound fukked up. Mainly because it sounds fukked to me.

Okay this is the first time I ever mesured how much I eat.

Today was actually a fairly big day. But it mesured up to 435calories...

so actually today was a pretty decent eating day. Normally I eat around what I ate today or under.

SO... since this is sort of messed up. I can eat tons of food. I know this, I'm just never really hungry or care to eat.

I probably average 400 calories, maybe 300.

So how bad is this. Could this be the reason I can't lose my weight or gain muscle?

So I have some serious questions.

I was considereing cutting. So to cut would I start at 2000+ like DIESEL recomends, or should I start at 1600?

I know I can eat a lot of food, but I don't know if I can handle a lot of food at a constant rate.and 2000 plus sounds like a on to me.

On average if I'm good I eat 1 meal a day. So switching to 4 meals might really be hard. Is it good for me?

I've been eating this way for at least a year. More like all of my life.

This could also explain why I'm strong but I can't last long? Sound right?

By no means am I skinny, but I really think this sounds unhealthy, maybe i'm wrong?

I don't Know that much about it.

My final question is. Should I take supplements now? I mean some of them are appetite suppresents, thats probably the last thing I need.

Whey Protien I think is okay. But the other two that were mentioned in my other post SUPPLEMENTS. are they okay?

There are so many things wrong with your diet and what you think you know about nutrition that I can't spend my time replying. Do yourself a favor and purchase the book "The Sport Nutrition Guidebook" by Nancy Clark, M.D.

You'll learn everything you need to know about nutrition and how to achieve your goals. It's written by Nancy Clark who is a M.D. and a registered dietician.

I don't pretend to know anything about diets. Everything I know is what I hear. for the most part I eat when i'm hungry.

I'm not bagging on you. I can see you don't know much about nutrition. That's why I recommended that book to you. I think you would gain so much from reading it. It will educate you on proper nutrition. You'll learn how to eat well and properly fuel your body.

Fitday is pretty cool. I just started using it. I never knew how my calories broke down each day. It's pretty interesting. I've been doing it for about 3 weeks. I'm gonna take my averages to my nutritionist next week and see what she thinks of my calorie breakdown. See if anything needs to be improved.

You can check out my journal if your curious.

I seriously doubt you're eating that few cals a day. You're probably adding it wrong or leaving out things like soda, milk, and random snacks. 400 cals is a single small meal. Even anorexic girls eat more than that.

I triple checked that... I might just have had a low day or something.

I don't eat much more then what I ate today. Sometimes even less. Since we don't have soda in our fridge, I'm not adding that, and we don't drink milk, [for some odd reason we still buy it? It just sits and spoil, what a shame.]

Anyway. I'm keeping a journal like the one person said. Thats what I used to mesure it FitDay... maybe it was just a fluke.? Still WTF.

Thanks for the book, I'll look into it.

EDIT---

400 cals is a single small meal.
Sicne you put it that way I really don't eat more then a meal a day... the only thing is. I would think at such a deprevation I'd be loosing mass of some sort. Muscle or fat. But really I'm not. I'm more on the fat side then skinny.

But no one answered my question. SHould i jump back up to 2000 cals or should I try and gradually move back up.?

Take your weight and multiply it by 12. That's your maintenance. If you eat more than that, you'll either put on fat, or if you workout, 200 of those extra calories should go to formation of muscle. If you eat less than that, you should loose weight.

If you eat not enough food, as in 400 calories a day, you'll be counter productive. You're body will go into starvation mode and feed off of muscle...which you don't want to happen. So if you're trying to loose weight, I would eat less than 500 calories below maintenance.

okay I calculated my weight using your scale of *12 so i came up with around 2000-2100

so eating at about 1700cal would be a good idea for cutting? and 2150-2200 would be good for a bulking?

I can't thank you people enough. Trying to figure all this out is like trying to drink a river out of a straw, Just too much of an info-overload... and this are of life, diet and exercise are really almost taboo in society for the most part.

I'm also considering visiting a dietician[sp?]? would that be the right person to see... or should I got to a nutritionist[sp?] or someone?

Thank you very much

Sazuki I tried that site, but it requires my comp to understand .xml files... which is Microsoft Office or some other special gyzmo I don't have...

I read your cutting guide. I really liked it...

BUT like I said... eating 400 cals seems natural to me i've been doing it so long. I guess it really started with the hospitalizations. At first thier food was good. At least Marilac was good, but they were LT anyway. but the ST hospitals, there food was crappy. So I'd just not eat the food. I never was too hungry. Mainly because food wasn't the biggest thing on my mind. That and if you get hungry and its not time to eat.... you don't eat. So my body adapted I guess... I'm used to going weeks without eating and not even realizing it really... Just a bad habit I guess...

So i think I'm going to go with a 1600-1700 calorie deficiency, mainly because it will be easier for me to adapt, and sencond I hate cardio like the devil... I can sprint, but long-distance sucks...

I don't think you should worry about cardio at this point. Just eat more than 400 cals a day...

Don't jump up to 2000, gradually get there.

And why did you go to the hospital? If you're diabetic or have something else we should know about, tell us.

oh lol... I've never been to a hospital hospital... well sort of. Not for injuries or anything carnal in nature.

I really like that word carnal... even though it was a lttle out of context I just felt like using it... sort of work... meaning I don't have anything physical that is wrong with me except a slight case of myopia, but hell I hope that doesn't affect my diet plans...:p

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

Dude, you are eating way too few calories. If you eat that little your body will just go into starvation mode and slow your metabolism way down.

If you want to cut up here is what to do:

1) Eat around 2000 calories a day
2) Exercise for around 30 minutes 5x a week doing something intense like running or stair climbing
3) Lift weights three times a week for high reps with short rest periods or around a minute
4) Stick to lean protein, vegetables, fruit, olive oil, flax oil, and limit carbs to wholegrains and cereals.
5) Eat regularly like 6 times a day and before bed have something like cottage cheese

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.
