can we talk about the hair flicking flirt thing....

Is this a flirtation signal? because I get it a lot and it confuses me, a date I had last night was constantly brushing her hair away from her face or touching and twirling it or adjusting it (you know preening)while she was talking with me and another girl I know who is a friend of the room mate I had a thing for did a lot of pushing her hair to the side while she was alone talking to me today and the room mate STILL does it a lot...(I noticed that she does it when I put my fingers in my hair as well)

So my question is how do you really know if this is a flirty signal or otherwise please?.

Sometimes it really is just a habit or she just has long hair. Sometimes its an IOI.

On the list of IOIs, its a weaker one though.

I don't know to me it seems like obvious flirting signals I just wanted to get some other views.
