I just got a new apartment that is on a second story. My current weight equipment is too heavy for the floors so I plan on limiting myself to many sets of dumbbells (10s through 70s) and a bench.
Is it possible to make serious gains with this meager set up?
For example my barbell squats of 215x20 would now be done with a 35lb plate in a backpack and a 70lb dumbbell in each hand. Obviously I would have to increase the reps since the total weight would be 175.
I guess the overall strategy is to work my way up to sets of 50 reps. Maybee 100.
Any thoughts?
BTW i cant afford a gym membership and this apartment has a sweet location. My current power rack weighs well over 1000 lbs
