Just a bit you should know about me first, this happened when I was 14 (freshman in high school) and I have/had absolutely no experience in dating/relationships so don't hurt me.

So there was this girl that I saw on the first day of school (high school). I kinda liked her. Being the first day, I quickly forgot about her for a while.

We had 3 or 4 classes together so we became friends pretty quickly. Then out of nowhere, she would run up to me any time she saw me and say hi. She would poke me, punch me, kick me (but not hard) on purpose. We had health class together and that became a free at the end of a semester. So during our free, we (almost everyone in that class) would go to the Student Center to hang out. We would sit on a bench and she would often sit next to me. I would grab a chair to use as my foot/leg rest and she would put hers on top of mine. She would put her head on my shoulder when she was tired.

So I really liked her now....now I had no experience at the time and I told her how I felt. (I found out that I'm not supposed to do that :() Only 1 problem, she didn't like me. So near the end of the year, all that stuff ended and we would walk past each other w/o saying anything.

My question is, is there any way we can become good friends again or did I screw it all up?

Although a li'l inexperienced i am confident this wud help. Basics: Have faith in urself. Have patience. Now the real work. Read the DJ Bible. Atleast all of Pook's and Senor Fingers' posts. Get atleast 1 gf who's better than her( Dont worry, there are lots). Just say hi one day when YOU feel like it but this time eliminate all desire. Just treat her as one of ur male friends. U r done. This will do for now.

it's really weird though isn't it? Within context, a rational mind would conclude that if she was expressing herself like that and you countered with 'i like you,' or some variation, she would be happy about the reciprocation of feeling and people all over the world would have less to worry about. Instead sh1t like this happens
