Going into a calorie deficit got a lot of weight to lose (30lbs) I'm feeling a little low on energy though any tips. I should add I'm doing the strong lifts program and I walk everyday 5 miles and work early :-(

you're on the right track. My best advice would be don't go too crazy on the caloric deficit because it's counter-productive -- you lose water weight at first, but then inevitably you'll binge and gain back all the weight plus interest... most men need around 2000 calories per day just to maintain a constant weight.

I would say drop your calories to around 1700 and continue doing the light cardio (walking). Eventually your body will adapt to the walking and you'll need to change it up...

While walking, I recommend dropping down and doing pushups every 2-5 minutes so that it spikes your heart rate.

If you are 30+ lbs overweight, do not drop your cals to 1700 straight away.

Can you give me your current weight and height.

Also the walking is easy for me except I'm not getting enough sleep because I work a lot

at your height, i would drop the 30 lbs you mentioned. just dont do anything drastic. download the lose it app. it will give you a daily calorie budget with the deficit you need. you can set your goal as losing either 2lbs a week or 1.5/1/.5 lbs. this app has helped me lose 10+ lbs in the last few months. hold yourself accountable because weight loss is not easy.

GOOD LUCK!
