my question is: hoe can i be funny while responding to her reply(see below) to my message.

me: hey, your profile is interesting, want to know more about, drop me a line sometime.

her : Hey there,
what do you want to know?
I"m new to this website.
What about you? What is your major?

i'm heading home tomorrow.

1) look at her profile and make 100% sure your not wasting your time.

2) Forget trying to come across as Jerry senifeld in the first few conversations (msg`s) . You need to establish a good repore through normal talk first.

3)If you have come this far and still feel you have somthing to gain with this girl then proceed to charm her add wit/comedy whatever you feel is needed to progress past the casual conversation stage.

4) I`ll add this when you reach this stage.

I agree with Ranger. Establish a rapport first but don't answer any of her questions with a direct answer. If she asks you again what your major is, tell her you're majoring in garbage collection or something ... but only after you solidify a rapport with her.

Here's something along the lines of what I would write, and usually do. It's a mix of what David D. has said and my own thing.

Anyway, at least I know you're a real person now. Great. It looks like we have a couple of options here. We can meet up, drive to vegas, get married by Sunday, and have our Honeymoon on Monday. We'll even shack up in a seedy hotel with a heart-shaped, vibrating bed. Since I'm a gentleman I'll pay the 50c to make the bed vibrate.

Then again, we could just meet up for coffee and make friends. We'll have a great conversation and a lot of laughs. The bonus to this is that if you turn out to be a big, hairy man, you won't try any funny business around all those people. And no offense, but if you are a man, I'm leaving. ;p

I change it up for each person I respond to to make it more personal but this is an overview of how I respond. No need to answer her questions right now. In fact, I recommend you don't unless it happens to just go along with what you're already talking about in your reply. Once you get on AIM or meet her, then you can answer her questions but even then, be indirect. Someone above went into that already, I think.

With option "A" I get a response with their AIM name about 80% of the time.

With option "B" they call me that night about 15% of the time. BUT, 60% of the time they write back and give me their number and ask me to call them instead. So I end up talking to them that night anyway.

I meet up with a new "fat and ugly" woman I met off the net 1-2 times a week. But hey, I just really dig monsters so ya know, you may want to stay away from them. They may be too much for you to handle.
