At your leisure, read the autobiographies of Henry Ford and Charles Schwab.
Amazing men, not just in business but in the way they read people, saw through some and found hidden assets in others.
Ford would fire a man on the spot for salting his food before tasting it, he considered him presumptuous and audacious. He could never respect a man if the soles of his shoes had holes but the top was shiny. He felt the man would never see what truly mattered. He was the quirkiest, most oddest man you will ever read, but this theories paid off for him and are still going strong.
Schwab started his career in a warehouse in Savannah, GA selling second hand steel. Today it is called Bethlehem Steel and is one of the largest dealers in the Southeast. He saw how his business helped his community and employed many while he grew. He wanted to do more and now is a front runner in investments, retirement plans and other markets. He is now helping billons.
There are more Gates, Trump, etc...but I've not read any literature about the theories in development of business. What I have read focuses mostly on the running and growth of their industries.
Just a thought and very best wishes in your endeavors!
