This weekend I could have made use of a personal business card. A waitress replied to leave her my number (yeah, lol), and a girl went through hoops to give her to me. So, a personal business card could have made this easier.

Years ago I had one, but I “misused” it, thought it was a useful tool. I think it requires real, real skill and a lot of discipline. It’s easy that wishful thinking happens, hoping that dealing it out leads to something instead of doing a proper number close. It increases the risk of flaking, I’d say. But still, in some rare cases, they maybe have their purpose.

Thoughts?

Nope. She happily gives you her number, or she's just playing games. Even her demeanor when she gives you her number can be a tell whether you'll hear back from her or not. The card is too old man try-hard IMO. Save that for making money.

Does not work for me or has ever worked. I thought it was DHV (ie you are working, you are dressed your best on the picture, she knows something about you if you are ultra-shy, and you give her the option to contact you). But I guess that's the thing. If you are a chad/chadlite guy then women would make it obvious they are interested and even throw their number at you. With me, its the easiest way of dealing with getting a phone number. I mean you can ask for her number once you give her your card or leave it that if she's interested enough she'll reach out to you so it's not your last encounter with her. So it's more for my own mind rather than any practical reason.

BCs work. As an example, I was giving a presentation at a client organization. Afterward I talked with a young lady in the audience and gave her my card. Two days later she called me up & asked me out to lunch. She’s,
My GF now. Do BCs work all the time? No. But sometimes they do. It’s another tool in the kit.
On second thought. Maybe a bad example as it was business related. But BCs can be useful if you are in a suit. It’s classy. In Non-business settings , i’ve Used it with flirty waitresses, bartenders... if she’s not interested, no harm done. My last non-business related use was at a convention with a hotel staff that I had been flirting with for a day or two.

I have personal cards, very well done, tasteful tactile. They hail from a different time and appeal highly to quality women 40-55 and beyond if you go there.

The younger generations unless highly intelligent and worldly do not get it, waste of time.

It’s the equivalent of having a limited edition $1000 Mont Blanc in your pocket or a coach laptop bag.

I don’t expect most of the troglodytes on the forum to understand this much less know what the aforementioned term means.

I like this approach myself. It makes a bolder statement than any business card can.

No - younger women are going to see it as being too transactional - not to mention it relies on her reaching out to you. If it isn't something that involves her phone then it will be forgotten. Always get a number from her and don't wait on her to contact you.

I’ve used them to write a note (on the back) after a eye f*ck session where one needs to be discreet, especially when one is in a competitive situation.

Anything that differentiates you in classy way is a plus. I’ve had 20-sometpthink it’s smoother than buttah, rare but happens. Oh and situationally use a business card holder that’s distinct, my personal fave is a coach buckskin leather card fold. How you deploy it is also highly important - the number one feedback comment I get is about my presence and command of a room I have entered.

So. This literally Just happened. I was doing a presentation at a client site. One of the staff was quite flirty before we started. After, she came up to me gushing about how awesome and fun the presentation was. She wanted my name and number and asked for my card. (Today I actually forgot my cards & ID badge). So I just wrote my info on a paper. She was about 25. Obviously I’m not going to pursue it. But I think this illustrates why having cards handy is a great idea. On never knows when opportunity knocks.

I never used a business card to give my number to women. But I have wrote my name and number down ahead of time on a piece of scratch paper, had it in my wallet, and given that to women. I prefer to give my number out to a woman vs get hers. Then if you hear from her there is no question on initial interest. If you don't hear from her, oh well.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

Not required.
If a woman was interested, she’ll gladly take your number written on toilet paper.

Bingo! I do the exact same thing, and agree 100℅ with what you said. It's also much quicker to give a girl your number on a piece of pre-prepared card/paper, than having to mess around getting her to put your number in her phone or vice versa.

Giving a girl my number and seeing if she gets in touch is my 'litmus test' to see if she's genuinely interested or not. It's easier than trying to get her number, and you can give your number to pretty much any girl you approach, as you never know if they might reach out.

Do you plan to impress her with the business card? You can add a QR code to your "business card", so she can scan in your info. However, most females will not make the first move unless the dude is really top shelf. Even then, it's hit or miss. I do not think it will help the flakiness of the female kind.

Given a high flake rate (my case), it's tempting to explain it on business cards, but the rate is high even without. Since the flake rate is high even without business cards, I wonder if this question matters, actually.
