does anyone else have a problem building the upper part of the chest..meaning the very upper part?

i have a lot of muscle in the mid and lower pectorals, but theres not much muscle at all towards the upper regions.

heres my current chest routine (all reps are 10 or less)

4 sets DB bench
4 sets incline bench
2 sets decline bench
2 sets cable pulls

also, what exercises are good at building muscle so that theres not a big gap between the two pecs???

I am curious as to the gap part myself... but I think it is just pure genetics. As for the top of the chest just do heavy inclines and alternate cable flys and dips to shape them.

Do inclines first in your routine with DB's to stress the upper pecs.

Why do you not want the gap between your pecs? It's a sign of low bodyfat %.

Try a steeper incline than conventional "wisdom" would dictate, go for 45-50 degrees rather than the accepted 30. Also try neck presses, a favourite of Vince Gironda, a man ahead of his time and trainer to a number of bodybuilders and Hollywood stars from the 1940s through to the 90s. You set up as if doing a regular flat bench but bring the bar down to your neck. Obviously no bouncing on this one!

some good ideas here.

im gona try doing a couple sets of inclines with a steeper angle and try to keep the dumbells more over my chest so that i work the upper pecs but lessen work coming from the shoulder.

Yeah I had the same problem. I just started using 15 pound dumbells and layed on my back and mocked buterfly movements.
Cured my gap better then ever. NOw its all even out.

Cabels might work to. I don't know the only thing I ever use for work otus is 15 pound dumbells.

Do pushups to. Those help pecs in general
