I have "man boobs" and I have a decent gut...

I'm looking to lose my gut and most of all...my "man boobs"

I'm thinking about curling some, too. I wanna get some muscle...

Suggestions and advice would be appreciated!

Oh.. Mind you, there's another game called curling. Involves brooms if I remember rightly.

Couldn't possibly be suggesting that curling weights gives you muscle, could he?

And by curling I'm pretty certain you're talking about bicep curls. Your going to need some dumbbells for that. Either join a gym or make a home gym. I workout at home and I can tell you that all you need to work out your whole body is two dumbbell bars, a good amount of weight plates and a bench. You don't need any of those fancy machines or anything, free weights are better. Good luck dude.

I workout at home and I can tell you that all you need to work out your whole body is two dumbbell bars, a good amount of weight plates and a bench.
No power/squat rack? :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

You're being made fun of because you're asking very basic questions which have been answered before, and you can find the info you want through the stickies or using the search function.

It is when they say that they want to curl to "get some muscle". The only muscle you'll get by curling is in your biceps. Conversely, you'll get muscle EVERYWHERE with the big lifts, such as squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. I don't even curl, yet my arms are growing fast because I do so many chin-ups.

those man boobs are called "GYNO" short or "Gynaclasma" or something. the only way to remove those is surgury bro. sorry. thats like $5000 out your pocket.

You won't even get biceps from curling. Try doing 100 bicep curls 3 times a week - I guarantee your arms will stay exactly the same size.

Ken, it's Gynecomastia, and it's not JUST reversible with surgery. Nolvadex can help with it - although man boobs can just be fat. Men store adipose in their chest same as anywhere else..

What the hell are you talking about? The guy has a high body fat % (as evident by his post), thus the fat around his chest is causing the breasts to swell. If he runs on a treadmill, eats right, and lifts weights they will decrease.

If you do bicep curls with some weights you'll definatly see them grow. I used to do no exercises at all, except bicep curls, and I could see them get bigger every 2-3 weeks in the first 2 months. After that it didn't go as fast, but I'm still making gains, even 2 years later.Maybe you just didn't do the curls correctly, because I seriously can't see how this couldn't work for anybody. :confused:

A little advice for Juggalo: If you're going to do bicep curls you should always keep your arms against your side to isolate the bicep, and you should offcourse never use your back. Also do it in a controlled manner, so don't "throw" them in the air.

I'd personally focus on some cardio type exercise you enjoy, swimming, jogging,cycling etc. And maybe get to a gym and do supervised circuit traning.

If you have man boobs and you are fat, they probably will go as you get thinner, there may however be some residual gyno which you might have to live with or elect to undergo surgery.

I agree with everyone about arm curls, everybody when they start off focusses on bloody curling, for now just get the fat and tits off and start learning about weight training.

I weighed myself on one of those 25 cent weigh stations today in a bathroom at the mall and it said that I weigh 209.
