When a woman seems attracted to you but talks about her ex-boyfriends and current dates FREQUENTLY, what is she getting at?

I have not shown one-bit of jealousy(!!!) but when WE go out she seems to be working overtime with the "trying to make me feel jealous" bit?

Thank You!

I have the same problem...it gets annoying after awhile. Someone on this board gave me good advice saying something like they are an ex for a reason. Remember that.....i try to embed that into my mind.

AFter first i blew it off, but after a while it just gets really annoying and old fast, almost makes you want to cheat on her or start seeing other chicks.

I normally look at her and say something like "man i cant believe how great he is". With a smile...i normally get a hit and a cute smile back. Keep things funny and not serious.

Good luck man....keep patient

Legend, that was me.

there are too many people on here worried about an "ex" stepping back into the picture..and the truth is..look at your past 2-3 girlfriends..would YOU want to get back with them??

I know I wouldnt. They actually are a turn off to me.

SO yes, Ex's are Ex's for a reason.

Pure..bringing up exboyfriends to me seems like a flight in the womans fantasy. Trying to remember the good things about them..then relaying it to other guys so the guy could see if he could match up.

Next time she brings up an ex..say "wow! sounds like a really cool guy..you shouldnt have broken up"

Well, you don't want to show them that they are getting to you. I would do either of the below:

1) Politely stir the conversation to another topic immediately every time she tries to bring em up? She should get the idea soon.

2) Let out a yawn while patting your mouth every time she brings them up and grin afterwards to keep it light-hearted. She should get the idea soon.

3) Become visibly less attentive every time she brings them up. She should get the idea soon.

What ever you do, don't blow up!

She's testing you. You're doing the right thing by not blowing up or showing jealousy.

Shes insecure and unless you want to handle her constant talk about her past virtues, you should show her the way.

""Next time she brings up an ex..say "wow! sounds like a really cool guy..you shouldnt have broken up""

That line is really effective- learn it and never forget it.

Yeah, it gets annoying fast, but someone explained it to me this way. If he was a big part of her life (like years), most of her stories/memories from those years will include him. Pay attention to how she acts when she mentions him. Try to decide if he's just a character in her story of life or if she still has feelings for him.

The most effective thing I've done was to let her know that I didn't really like hearing about his all the time and could she maybe try to watch it. She admitted that she hadn't even realized she was doing it and it stopped immediately.

I guess it all depends on how much you like this girl.

When this happens to me, I just say something like. "He sounds like a cool guy, but i really don't want to hear about your ex"

Right to the point.
