That is awful..... I wonder if its just KFC or if thats how all chickens are bred and slaughtered....

PS: I can agree with the boycott of KFC, but the sayings at the bottom of the page is pretty rediculous:

You should read fast food nation, it would broaden your mind on the whole fast food industry. I read somewhere that they had to change the name to "KFC" from "kentucky fried chicken" because they technically couldnt call it chicken??!?
Its an industrial food processing industry, and supply and demand is why these facilities exist.

anyway, he bled kentucky blue blood.. you couldn't ask for better breeding. So right after he win, or shortly after, they shipped him off to stud.

He might have been one of the biggest busts in stud history. you could tape rockets on the side of his horses and they still couldn't win

so they shipped him to Japan, which is what they do when a stud is a disappointment's. he was so bad there they said fvck it, and put him in the meat grinder. some cat or dog ate a Kentucky derby winner

That's what happens to about 95-98& of the race horses (sadly enough) after they race.. there are 36k thoroughbreds born every year.. can't be a home for all of them. The good ones get rescued

Secretariat's FULL brother I forgot his name, was literary minutes away from being slaughtered.. he was in line, and they didn't want to, and they kept putting him in the back of the slaughter line and someone finally paid the 300 bucks to save him.. he's still living in Arizona

no.. there are 36 thousand thoroughbreds registered every year, and about 25 thousand quarter horses

there just aren't that many owners out there
