Death penalty? It seems almost too easy of a way out for him. Him and his brother were prepared and accepting of death. I personally think he should rot in prison.

I think he will get the death penalty. The Feds don't fvck around. After his brother got killed, there was no one left to snitch on, which would have been the only way to get any kind of deal.

They would put him in the Colorado Supermax if he got life, 23 hr a day solitary, probably 24 hr a day for him. That place was designed to make inmates go insane, as it is reserved for the people the Feds hate the most. It was just in the news this week about an inmate cutting his own balls off; no one cared. I actually heard about that guy from a kid whose cousin works there about a year ago, before it broke as a news story.

You don't believe in the death penalty but have no problem with other cruel and unusual punishment like solitary confinement and prison rape? The death penalty would be more humane, besides being just. I bet terrorist in gitmo that liberals cry for are treated better than many US citizens in US prisons.

Well I definitely don't support prison rape, I'm not sure where you got that from.

I don't disagree with the death penalty because it's cruel and unusual but because it's final and there is no bringing an innocent man back from it. Solitary confinement is horrible (though sometimes necessary) but the potential is there for an innocent man to find justice no matter how late.

I don't trust the justice system enough to grant them the power to take a life. Any casual examination of the system and most would probably agree.

I am sure he did.

But there are several other people who falsely confessed and were later found innocent due to DNA and countless others still on death row who were beaten or tricked into confessions.

So, for those folks, I'm against it even for the guilty and heinous.
