Congratulations, Montenegro, on your secession from Serbia!

I love border changes. Anyone else get excited by the peaceful redrawing of political divisions?

Honestly, I wonder if you feel the same way if California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas all said goodbye to the U.S. As a Serb i am sad that my country is slowly falling apart. But hey, we should all love border changes right? ****ing hypocrite....

I don't want to lay blame anywhere here, but Serbs considering other nations as part of theirs has caused a lot of problems in the last fifteen years. If Montenegrins want independence, be thankful they took it peacefully.

And I'd be excited if states broke from the US - actually I actively support Hawaiian and Texan independence.

what bugs me is how the Kosovo thing turned out. It's like turning over texas to mexicans.

The president of Montenegro is being invesigated on charges of cigarette smuggling by the Italian government, the only case in the world where a head of state is, by another nation. The EU fears this will cause more tension and will cause crime to soar, as the serbian presence leaves Montenegro. It is strange to se former Yugoslavia fall further and further apart. And I suspect Kosovo will be freed to now. It seems that, if everybody else is, Kosovo will be wanting that too.

It was a close call though. Montenegro is full of people who see themselves as Serbs. It is unfortunate for the Serbian nation to become widely split as a minority population in many countries. I even heard some Serbian politician saying in a newspaper that it was time to go "back to the roots" and become a monarchy in Serbia.

I sure hope that, 25 years from now, all these countries could be living peacefully together as members of the EU. That would make borders matter much less. It will probably still be hard on Serbian self-image. Becoming landlocked is something of a trauma.

No hard feelings anybody,

And hope you all make it to the EU and the EU finally gets a constitution!

God I hope the serbian part of Banat and also Vojvodina will one day be a part of their right owner Romania.

The only thing I like about serbs are their "plescavita's" and I live about 100 km from the border with them, so I know them pretty well because its full of them around here.

All the "color revolutions" in the East have been heavily financed by George Soros, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and USAid. These last two are tax funded and get tax-deductible contributions. They are headed by some of the top globalists from both U.S. parties, like Madeleine Albright and John McCain - no friends of the sovereignty of their own people, or anyone else's. NED has actually been headed by Carl Gershman for twenty years, a member of the Social Democrats USA, a Trotskyite party. Suck on that. Read what Congressman Ron Paul has to say about it all, he ain't happy.

George Soros' foundations, NED, USAid and other similar organizations will support anyone in Belarus, Ukraine, Macedonia, Georgia and elsewhere - attempts have also been made in Lebanon and Russia - who is willing to adopt liberal values, abandon any lingering traditional values, accept mass immigration when the people have been softened up enough, and wipe out borders and sovereignty by joining the EU, NATO, the WTO, etc.

Otpor, the "youth movement" in Serbia, was financed by these, just like the youth movements in Ukraine and Belarus and Georgia. (They failed in Belarus, though. Apparently the opposition took the money and ran. They promised hundreds of thousands of demonstrators, who would force the president from power, but only a few thousand showed up.) In a poor country bombed to bits, Otpor got an influx of money (courtesy of the U.S. taxpayers who have little say in where their money goes) from abroad, along with instructions on how best to work the Western TV cameras. That is hard to compete with for those who don't get any outside help. Just like in Ukraine. It's all about televized PR these days, even in a so-called spontaneous outcry of indignation.

The spontaneous crowd that stormed Milosevic's home and illegally abducted him, so that he could illegally be handed over to foreigners, was mostly fake; only afterward did we learn of the bussed-in security guards and police from U.S.-friendly towns, who were dressed up in civilian clothing.

Me, I'm tired of this. These top brass use Western money to finance some sort of new globalist order for Europe. It serves neither American nor West European nor East European interests. It serves only those who hate the idea of national identities, national traditions, and sovereignty.

Let me guess: the "right" kind of parties in Montenegro, those willing to join the EU and just drool at border-scrapping in general, will get even more Western money now. Montenegro will be set up as a showcase in the Balkans, presented as the very picture of how successful a country can be if it abandons old tiresome identities and adopts modernized values. As Montenegro is so small, this will be fairly easy to do. Pay up, American taxpayers, you have no say in the matter. Open your borders, peoples of the EU, we have no say in the matter either. Ah, controlled and orchestrated democracy, an idea whose time has come.

Not necceserly, India (and probably many other's but I'm only a low level history buff) was once a great nation (I'm talking about 200 years back). Dont want to bring up any imigration topics but being choped into 4 distinct and unnatural parts didn't do it much good.

Spider007 is right, people think one little thing can change theier whole world.

Yes i was born in Belgrade Serbia, lived there for 12 years. Upper, i dont know if you are joking about moving there or not but it depends where you are from. If you are in the area and know what you are getting youself into, then move there if you want to. But if you are a western raised boy who is curious about a really screwed up place then i would suggest that you stay away from Serbia.

Some people call that the great lie of nationalism.

Since you know all about the top secret plans of the Illuminati, can you tell us the exact time, location, and details of the next major political event?

(ie. absolute election outcomes, with exact voting percentages, name of the winner, and percentage of non-voting population)
