I'm tall n skinny, n im not trying to bulk up huge or anything. I'd rather have a tall lean muscular look, something like ryan reynolds. To get that, I would need to cut my body fat percentage, while keeping weight, and if possible, even gaining some muscle mass in the process. I don't know if that is possible, so maybe ill have to do it in two phases if need be.

I'm planning on starting with mainly body weight routines mixed with some free weights for mass/density, while throwing HIIT cardio in the mix. I'm looking for some guidelines to follow, maybe even a bodyweight/freeweight routine, and some other good bodyfat cutting ideas.

I was looking at the cutting up guide, and thought this might be good, but I'm not looking to lose weight. Just lower my bodyfat %. Any tips for this would be great. Thanks

From what I've heard it is not possible to do both. It is be done by alternating weights and cardio in stages. e.g. 6 weeks weights, 4 weeks cardio. Then again if desired.

Your diet will be the most important factor in this.

You gain muscle mass first, with minimal cardio. You may gain some body fat during this stage, keep a close eye on that one. Most recommend around gaining 1 pound per week of muscle, any higher and your body fat could increase too quickly.

Eventually when the muscle mass is high enough lowering body fat percentage will be easier and can be also maintained more easily. Working on this stage will require lots of cardio, but make sure to still get a good diet plan - you don't wanna be burning off muscle. Eating just the right amount of carbs and protein to maintain muscle mass (the occasional loss of a pound or two is acceptable).

I'm sure some people of this board may go into more detail on this.

it's hard to tell, but my guess would be in the 10-12% range.

you don't need to cut down weigth, on the coutrary.

to get the ryan reynolds look, you'd need to put on some serious muscle.
