I've been bulking for a while now and the other day one of the gym attendants offered me a chance to get my bodyfat tested on one of those electronic scales, I've heard bad things about them, but I figgured why not, I'll just try it. So it came back and said my body fat was 14.4% and I found that to be a little high.

However, I am nowhere near a body fat expert and eventually I'll have to invest in some calipers to find out for sure. But in the mean time, I'd appreciate you more experienced guys 'estimating' what my body fat level truely is, and whether or not the scale was accurate, because as I mentioned earlier I have no experience with body fat levels.

Here's a recent pic:

There is no way your 14.4% body fat. You look like if your 5"10 you would probably weigh 147 pounds. your probably at about 8% body fat. You could gain some weight and some bulk. If you lost any more weight you would look anorexic.

Me personally I think that 11-13% would look better on you. If your out with a girl who is your height with an azz on her and c cup tits she will out weigh you with your build, and there is nothing sexy about that.

Live a little, hit the weights, bulk up eat some cheese burgers.

LOL!
Say no to cheeseburgers. at least for now.
Up your water intake, and start taking an Arginine/Creatine mix for NO for more muscle pump and some vascularity.
Also increase your protein, and add a few capsules of EFAs to your diet.
Keep you Sugars LOW!!!!!
Keep your salt intake low too.
You've got good definition, but your lacking a little in the solidity of pure muscle mass.
Look, I'm proud of you, dude. You did good. And you're doing good,
But your muslce mass is a little lacking, due to you having less than full muscle bellies.
Anyway, good job, and keep up the good work.
Props to you for posting pics.

thanks for the replies guys.

lookyoung: believe it or not, I weighed myself this morning and I weighed about 174 lbs. Haha I hope I'm not dating a girl heavier than me. :p But I'm definately there with you, another 20lbs would look alot better, definately not interested in losing any weight. I'm going to try to keep the abs, but fuller muscles are my priority.

Keep the estimates coming. I was always under the impression I was around 10% because people around usually say that abs appear at 10%.

Here's a pic of my back that I had too:

Maybe a hair over 5'10.
I don't just go for the beach muscles, I've got some legs under me :p
But regardless my goal is the 190-200 mark, and we'll take things from there.

Hah, 14%, that's whack. Your bf% is definitely 10 or under. You've got nothing to worry about here, most guys would love to be as cut as you. Just keep adding muscle like you've been doing :)

ESPi is right. You will be able to bulk up to 200 much easier if you just worry about gaining muscle and forget the 6 pack and do it after you get the weight.

ESPI/danno1: I am focused on bulking and I'm eating as much as I can, however I've managed to gain 40 lbs over the last year and a bit (number misleading, I've grown 2+ inches in height) while (I thought) I was reducing my bodyfat with less than 'clean' foods, which I am now eating. So perhaps my good genes will allow me to keep my 6-pack on my journey to 200, but I know that I'm going to have to eat loads more than I am now.

Keep the opinions/suggestions/criticisms on my BF/bulk coming guys.

Espi: When I said that I 'clean bulk,' I should've been more specific. Really I just meant that I don't eat candy, chocolate, pop or any excess sugars. However that doesn't mean that I don't eat fast food as I consume McDonalds as much (more) that most people. I also eat a lot subs, as well as pizza. EFFORT has me set up on a fitday account, and I'm constantly finding ways to increase the calories I consume daily.

What I meant by 'my good genes allowing me to keep my sixpack' was that my fast metabolism is able to burn off food as quick as I eat it, as it appears that I've reduced my bodyfat % while gaining a substantial amount of weight without the healthiest diet. (McDonalds etc.)

That's about 340 grams (@ 2 grams), and that's going to be damn hard consuming that much protein via tuna and chicken. Now, beef, of course, will get you more calories and more protein per meal, but, of course, beef has fat.
I get less protein per 6 oz of beef than I do 6 oz of chicken.

6oz 90/10 beef = 42g protein
6oz skinless boneless chicken breast = 50g protein

Chicken really kinda sucks. Beef is so much tastier. Chicken fills me up more though even with less calories. I only ever eat it after working out though.
